“Incredible Experience”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

A definite "must-do" experience when you travel to Puerto Rico. Simply amazing!! The reservation and notification process was very smooth. Was a little difficult to find the right place in the dark park (Baby Bay needs to be larger on their sign). Once onboard we had the experience of a lifetime. Michael was funny and knowledgeable making the trip very enjoyable. The boat is definitely the way to go -- we laughed so hard we cried at the mishaps of the kayakers (sorry to those on the kayaks) -- they were stuck in the mangroves, crashed into each other, fighting about who was paddling right and very few had a smile on their face. We on the other hand, in the boat couldn't wipe the smile off our faces. Experiencing the lagoon was magical with the water lighting up each time you touched it and sparkling when you threw it in the air. If you can only do one thing in Puerto Rico, this is it! Don't miss this unforgettable, magical experience.

“poor reservation confirmation”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Definitely go with BioislandPR. Baby bay canceled the trip when we arrived at 8:30PM to go out at 9M. We had booked 2 months prior and left 3 messages 36 hours prior to leaving. They claimed they couldn't get in touch with us desite leaving our hotel name and room number. Horribly dissapointing to come from Massachusetts to learn 30 mins before the trip is to leave that they cancelled the tour..

“A very memorable experience”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

We went on the 6 pm tour on sunday with capt suarez and Michael. Ofcourse it means 6 pm puerto rican time which means like 6:30 pm. Considering that there are only 3 reviews we were a bit skeptical about the whole experience but it turned out to be one of a lifetime experience.

Both Capt suarez and Michael are very knowledgeable about both the lagoon and the surrounding mangrove and i would highly recommend this company.

“Captain Suarez and Michael give great service for an unforgettable experience!”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Do not miss the Bio Bay if you travel to PR! If you can, book ahead with Baby Bay. If you don't book ahead, call yourself and don't rely on the concierge at your hotel. After trying that route for 2 days, I called myself at 3:00 p.m. on 1/3 and was on Captain Suarez's boat at 9:30 that night, our last night in PR. Our almost 2 hour tour with Baby Bay was truly a memorable experience. Captain Suarez and Michael were fantastic! The Captain's English is limited, so Michael did most of the talking. He was very funny, knowledgeable and informative. Not only did he give us a lesson on the bio organisms, mangroves and lagoon, but he also taught all of us much about the constellations and how to guide based on the stars (the sky was spectacular that night!). The channel in the mangroves is about a mile long and full of wildlife. We saw a 7' boa constrictor (thankfully, perched high up in the mangroves digesting the rat he had purportedly eaten), many iguanas and a black heron. Awe inspiring as that was, the massive lagoon and the bio organisms that sparkle when you put anything - stick, hand, foot - into the water are unforgettable! Throw some water into the air and the "rain" drops sparkle as they hit the water. I had originally intended on booking a kayak tour, but was so glad we did the boat tour instead! You stay nice and dry and truly enjoy the tour without worrying about doing the work of kayaking. We saw many a kayaker get stuck in the mangroves and, overall, most of the kayakers did not look happy at all. Try to go on a moonless night so you can see it all better. If you can't plan for that, go anyway! Just don't miss this! Thank you Captain Suarez and Michael for an unforgettable experience!

“Unforgettable Experience!”
Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

Pros- the lagoon was very luminous at night when we went, we saw sting rays, fishes, dipped our feet in the water and touched the water the whole trip! Better than kayaking because it's an electric boat, you don't waste your time paddling and we spent more time on the lagoon! Like 2hours or so. The young guy named Michael was very informative about the lagoon and it's organisms also funny and popular everyone that kayaked by knew him. The captain was very nice and provided refreshments

Cons- I can't really think of one because the experience was beautiful DO NOT MISS THE BIOLUMINOUS LAGOON IN PR IF YOU ARE ON VACAY! DO IT!
