Awesome experience. The guides are very courteous and helpful. They have bug spray - use it. They do a great job explaining the basics of kayaking, but you're in a group of about ten 2-person kayaks (mostly people who have never kayak'd before) so people will slam into you and make your kayak go to one side or the other. It's fun though. Don't bring anything you don't mind getting wet. You're sitting in a wet kayak in a puddle of water so wear a swim suit and cameras are pretty much worthless because it is pitch black. Best thing to do is make sure you are up front next to the tour guide. Otherwise, you won't hear the small nuggets of info while getting to the luminescent bay.

“Bio Bay Tour Fajardo Island Kayaking”

...what I would like to add to my review - the mosquitos were really bad, so if you are allergic to mosquito bites, think twice. It is important not to wear mosquito spray, as it contaminates the water, and you shouldn't disturb the ecological balance. And, I would think twice about taking very small children on a windy day, as the kayaking across the bay to the mangroves was strenuous.

“Good idea”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

Loved the idea of this and of course the water is magnificent. HOWEVER, there were WAY too many people out there at one time. It was hectic, unorganized and complete chaos from the time we got our life jackets to the time we got back. Would have been nice to spend more time kayaking in the lagoon and a little less time on the history lesson. Glad to have done it once but no need to revisit. It was the worst form of tourism..." Just keep pack in' em in there!"
