We stopped here because it seemed to provide good access to the bio-luminescence bay tours. However, the location was not particularly good for access to the tour and other hotels are much closer. The desk welcome as average and we found our room on the second floor, with a balcony overlooking the pool. However, with the hot humid weather we kept the door closed. The hotel management was wise avoiding carpet in rooms and using tile on floors and bath. Parking was tight. Not sure where all the car's owners were. Dining room staff and meals mediocre.

Great rooms. We had a beautiful view of the sea. Service was excellent. Close to ferries to Calebra and Veigus Islands. Fabulous pools, restaurant had great food, drinks, and service. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our visit, but it was really quiet. Almost everything was empty and/or closed - including the pool bar :( The rooms were nice enough and clean, and they upgraded us, so that was nice. The grounds are well landscaped and we enjoyed walking around and looking at all the different exotic plants. The owner apparently really enjoys exotic plants. There were lots of different species through the expansive property. The owner also has an aviary with a bunch of different types of birds and parrots. That was also neat and unexpected. The lower pool was the most fun - there's a water slide and they music playing (for us and the other 4 guests I guess). There are a couple of restaurants on the property, which is nice to not have to leave at night and try to navigate your way back. Both restaurants were decent. Overall, it was a nice stay, but it wasn't what we were expecting. The bartender said that the place is busier when the locals are off - for spring break and summer. I enjoyed the quietness though, I just wish everything was open for us to experience. I would go back if I were to be staying in Fajardo. It really was a good deal.

Just to prefix my review, there's not really anything resembling "nice areas" in Puerto Rico. That being said, the hotel itself was nice and felt safe. There were some nice restaurants nearby and if you're planning on going to Vieques or Culebra you can't ask for a closer hotel to the ferry (the ferry is another whole story). We aren't really high maintenance when it comes to hotels. We basically need clean beds with a shower as we are rarely in the room. If you're a resort person this probably isn't the place for you as the pool bar\snack bar isn't open on weekdays and the 2 restaurants are closed for portions of the day. The staff was good and housekeeping did a fine job. There are 2 pools, one more for adults by the Blue Iguana restaurant and another below that which is shallow for kids. Also if you are going to stay in the Fajardo\Luquillo area, don't waste your time with Seven Seas beach. Head straight for Monserrate Balneario, also frequently referred to as "Luquillo Beach".

This place is ok. We felt it was more of a cheap motel than we were expecting. The bed was uncomfortable & our linens were torn. Our TV was tiny & outdated. Our room itself was clean & huge - but felt really empty with the furniture that was in it. There aren't too many options in Fajardo & we got a good deal on it, but I would definitely not spend $100/night for this place.

This place is terrible to say the least. It looks like a motel but they charge like a nice resort. The room is big but little furniture make the room looks silly. Bed is the worst ever, you sink on it. Floor are sticky and very slippery, tv is super small and no remote control, AC don't quite cool the room, phone has a blinking light that bothers you all night. The bird on the lobby make noises all night long. El conquistador is a few mins from here and only $30 more. Don't stay here, be comfortable instead.

We had two reasons for visiting Fajardo: the biobay and Culebra. Seeing as how we weren't able to do either (see other reviews about biobays and transportation to Culebra) we wanted to check out a day early. The first desk assistant told us we would be charged for the full night if we cancelled bc they required a 24 hour cancellation notice. But we asked to speak with someone else and she, Nancy, agreed to waive the fee. We dealt with Nancy for a few things and she was great! I can't speak for the other employees though...we didn't feel much love from anyone but Nancy.

Now, on to our stay (while we were there)...the room was unnecessarily large. It almost felt uncomfortable bc it was so big. It was clean enough though and the beds were fine. The pool was great - we had a fun time finding our way around the huge thing as well as going down the slide more times than I can count. We ate at the restaurant - StarFish and thought the food was pretty darn good. The service wasn't spectacular but we kind of felt that way about all of the service we received while in PR. Overall, I would suggest this hotel. It had amazing views and lots to do within the grounds!
