Excellent food. Excellent service. Some of the best seafood I've had!
The outside dining area was perfect, it began to ran while we were eating and the servers ran to our aid to get us to a dryer table.
I highly recommend this place.

“Great Food and Great Service”

We visited the Calizo Seafood Restaurant one night while we were staying at the El Conquistador resort in Fajardo. We were looking for some fresh seafood and the restaurant did not disappoint. But before we even ordered, we were very impressed with the ambiance - we loved the outdoor seating and the live music really added to the experience. Our server was very friendly and helpful and made some great suggestions - we ended up having the seafood paella, which came in a portion large enough to split between two people and was delicious. Our appetizers and dessert were great to, as well as the sangria that we sued to wash down the delicious meal. We had a wonderful experience at Calizo Seafood Restaurant and look forward to eating there again the next time we are in Puerto Rico.

“Fabulous fish, wonderful service”

Trip Advisor did it again, you found the perfect restaurant for us while we're in Puerto Rico. Last night we ate at Calizo in Fajardo, PR. Although a bit difficult to find, we were glad the rain and dark didn't deter us. We had the best dinner we're had while in PR. As mentioned before, we've got serious food allergies--mine to garlic and my husband to onions. So Jose, our perfect waiter, made sure that the chef could accommodate us. Gene ordered sword fish and I had salmon. Both were cooked to perfection--juicy, succulent-- with hot a trace of garlic or onion. They were on a delicious bed of spinach, fabulous mushrooms and asparagus, which rested on a lime butter sauce. If you are anywhere in the northeast section of Puerto Rico, make sure you go to Calizo Seafood Restaurant.

“A Must Try”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2013

My wife and I went there without a reservation. One of the help ushered us to a parking space and welcomed us. Our waiter, Jose, was friendly and helpful. We shared an appetizer of chopped scallops on fish crackers. It was different and absolutley delicious.
We also shared a seafood paella. It initially didn't look like it was enough to share, but we ended up taking some home. Very good.
We took Jose's recommendation to try the Sangria. I should have tried it by the glass and not ordered a pitcher. Although it was delicious and slightly different than any other sangria, it was too much for the two of us and cost $29. I probably should not have tried to finish it because my wife said I was getting a little silly if you know what I mean.
We ate inside and the decor was lovely, bright and cheery.
Highly recommend trying Calizo

“Fresh, tasty, and friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

We went during a weekday afternoon, so the whole restaurant wasn't open. We ate out of the little lunch "kiosko" that was open. Combo 5 was awesome! Also probably my favorite pastelillos and tostones of our 10 day trip and we tried them at multiple places in PR. He fried the pastelillos while we waited rather than have them in a case waiting for people to come, like you see at most places.
