Stayed at El Conquistador and La Estacion is very close but still a $40 cab ride round trip. It was worth it. We went back a second night. Had grilled fish the first night and ribs the second night. Kids loved the food too. Everything we had including drinks were terrific. Nothing fancy, just very good food.

We ate here while vacationing at the El Conquistador. The atmosphere of this place is really nice and very unique. We had dinner outside under tents with some really neat lighting and decor which really gives an authentic island feel. The food at this place was amazing! We had a chorizo appetizer that was served on skewers and was very good. Next we had a whole Red Snapper cooked over charcoals and a skirt steak that were both out of this world! It must be there grilling technique, but I've never tasted fish or steak quite like this. The service was excellent as well. In my opinion, if you are near Fajardo, you must eat here.

We been here 2 times, the first time we ate the whole grilled fish, very good and tasty, a little bit burned in some places but overall very good. It came with green papaya salad , it was a great surprise, very good. My kid had the pinchos , nice and tender. Lacking on kid menu but has choices like burgers and hot dogs. Sangria was ok. The second time we came for the fish again, but thet didnt had available , a big disapointment we look at the menu and has some pinchos as a starter but ended up leaving because we craved the fish. Overall is good, and cool decoration.

I've eaten here four times over the course of two vacations and I've never been disappointed. The entire grilled fish was, hands down, the best meal I've ever eaten. My fiancé said the same thing about his grilled lobster. We have changed vacation plans to come back here, and the food is good enough to influence future vacation plans.

Other things we've tried:
-The Cocotazo cocktail is amazing and the best thing you can get from the bar.
-The caesar salad (Spanish style with Manchego cheese and jamón serrano) is delicious, but if you're looking for a lighter salad, the green papaya salad is great.
-I like the chicken and pork pinchos more than the shrimp (and they are cheaper, so that's a bonus).
-Seriously, get the arepas as a side dish. Mmmmmm, fried bread!
-The various additions to the mofongo relleno make interesting BBQ twists on the Puerto Rican classic. You won't be disappointed with these.
-The banana turnover is seriously the perfect end to whatever meal you get there.

Their website has incorrect information about when they are closed (which, according to our waitress, is every Wednesday plus the first Tuesday of every month). And in a previous review, EWheeler2014 said that they don't accept credit cards, which is incorrect. The bar only accepts cash, but if your drinks are on your meal tab, you can pay with credit card (I think they don't accept AmEx, but they do accept Visa and MasterCard).

This place received really good reviews and we decided to try out when staying at Las Casitas resorts which is only about a mile away. We did not have a reservation but decided to wait for a table anyways. The bar is good (although there is only one bartender) which made the wait for drinks a bit excessive. The drinks were good and big though and made up for the Wait. We requested an outdoor table (highly recommend it). Unfortunately, they were out of several of the specials for the day so we ended up getting chorizo, fish and steak. The food was ok, we had better but the restaurant was very nice and the service was good.
