Played golf at the El Conquistador and found our way to this restaurant. Thouht the low key ambiance was great as well as the whole fish I had grilled, and not smothered with toppings to detract from the fish itself. My wife had ribs that were equally as outstanding.

The night before we had dinner at a highly recommended restaurant in San Juan for twice the price and not nearly as memorable. A must visit if in the Fejardo area.

Out of 4 dinners in Puerto Rico, my husband had Mofongo 3 times and declared that this was the best one. Obviously he liked the others, too, or he wouldn't have kept ordering it, but the fresh and delicious shrimp made this one stand out. I enjoyed a chicken pincho and salad with a delicious dressing. The Banana Empanada with ice cream was the perfect way to top it off!

We went to El Conquistador with our two teenage sons, one of which is a very picky eater. We wanted to try a meal off the grounds for a change, so we decided to try la Estacion (a recommendation by both a guest at the hotel and a staff member at the hotel). We were very happy with our choice. If you like a beachy feel for decor - this is your place! The reformed gas station was pretty cool. Nicely done. We met the owner, Mag, she was very pleasant and we discovered she went to school not far from where we live. The food was delicious - everyone was happy - even my very picky 16 year old (he likes things very plain and what he considers "normal" to him, so he chose the hotdog). The presentation of the meal was over the top and service was fine (unlike other reviews I read). I would definitely go there again and would recommend it to others. The only thing that might be lacking are "kids" meal type choices (unless they like hotdogs). We loved the beachy, outdoors atmosphere (all the tables ARE under some kind of cover), but if you're looking for something more formal - this wouldn't be your place. We, however, loved it.

Very crowded so we avoided restaurant until an off night. Food was excellent and the service attentive. Understand why always busy.

Went here the first night of our El Conquistador stay on January 9. Again, TA Reviews said try Chicken Mofongo and Banana Empanadas w/Ice Cream and I did- Fantastic!! Others in our party had BBQ Ribs (fell off the bone) and the Whole Snapper- again all were consumed eagerly and with pleasure! La Estacion is in an old gas station and the decor was very well tied into a caribbean gas station that is now a very cool and tasty restaurant! Eclectic really describes the decor. It was a Thursday night and we walked right in and were seated promptly w/o reservations. We ate outdoors and the atmosphere was awesome! Again, if your leaving El Con turn right out of the gate and in 400 meters your there on the left. Yes, you could walk it easily but felt the car suited us very well on a partially rainy night.5 of us ate for $139- no drinks. You must have the Banana Empanada with Ice Cream!!
