“Fully deserving of its reputation”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Ambience, service and food/drink were delightful. Try to go on Sunday for the whole roasted pig (roasted in a Chevy Bronco converted into a bbq pit.

We were staying at the local hotel asking other guests where we can get a taste of local food. They told us about this place down the road and we are so glad that we went. This place had the best tasting food of any place I visited in Puerto Rico. The staff was so helpful and attentive, making great suggestions. My boyfriend and I were game to try anything new, so we ordered a 4 1/2 lb. Captain Fish, which we have never had. They explained it was a fish that ate Lobster and would taste similiar. THEY WERE SO RIGHT! It was amazing and the Papaya Salad and Salsa were the best accompaniment. We read that the chef, Kevin was from the states and had done some serious cooking for some well known people, aka Perelman. Boy can this guy cook with some serious heat! Charcoal grills fired up, cooking up some amazing dishes. We really enjoyed there own Sangria, which is made fresh with local fruits. We met Kevin and his sister-in-law, they are such great people. We knew we would come back! Our last night in Puerto Rico we headed back and got to meet Kevin's lovely wife. We enjoyed the conversation and a special cocktail the bartender made with fresh pineapple juice. Kevin's wife took the time to chat and even offered to have us sit at Kevin's table. We were so thrilled and of course had another amazing meal of Mofongo and Red Snapper. If you are ever in Fajardo, you have to dine here! Tell Kevin and his wife we said HI and we hope to get back down to their to see them.

Hugs from your friends from the Norwalk CT area!!!

Stayed at the El Con. Two minutes from the resort. Good service and food. A little dark on the patio. My family preferred Ole LeLalei.

“Awesome. Get Reservations!”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Awesome food & atmosphere. Get reservations; we showed up one evening without reservations & couldn't get in, so we went there as soon as they opened the next day & barely got in. It's just east of El Con when you exit the resort. Not far, but not walking distance either.
