“Fun for the whole family”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

I visited the safari in July with my mom dad and sister. We all had a great time. Our guide was super friendly and very knowledgable about the different animals and their habitats. It was very cool to see the place where scenes from the bond movie live and let die were filmed. Walking through the aviary was awesome and we got to feed birds out of our hand. It was very exciting watching the crocs being fed, and getting to hold the young one was an incredible experience. We fed deer, pet the goat (which by the way was so cute I wanted to bring it home as a pet). After the safari tour we enjoyed the jerk chicken lunch they offer on site it was the best jerk chicken I've ever had... And I'm from Jamaica! Everyone that visits jamaica needs to experience the safari.

“Up close and personal with crocs”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

Great attraction. Andrea our guide was very personable and extremely well informed. More crocs than u can shake a stick at ( preferably an iron one on the snout ) so privileged to be so close to such ancient river monsters. Other attractions included chatty parrots and macaws, an aviary of birds we walked through and fed, and a petting zoo where shampoo the baby goat captured our hearts. Holy recommended.

“Very interesting tour!!”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

We went to this attraction as part of a day excursion from our Royal Caribbean cruise. I went in to it not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised!! They have a lot of crocodiles. Some very large all the way down to just a few months old! They had a lot of different birds. They had some snakes such as a large python and an anaconda. I was surprised that they had some birds of prey such as owls and hawks. The tour guide was very knowledgable and showed which animals were indigenous to Jamaica. It was very well done and a great way to spend part of our short time on the island. Just make sure not to call it a "zoo" or you will draw the ire of those the work there. It is a "preserve".

“Tresspassers will be eaten”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

The title is the sign you are greated with as you arrive. It is set up like a private zoo and you are taken around by a tour guide. She gives you the history of some of the crocs and other animals that are there. For my grandkids one of the highlites was that they were able to hold a boa and young croc. The only thing with the handling was there was no mention of washing their hands immediately after which is important when you handle snakes. The raccoon was very hot and was panting a great deal. It was also strange to find a white tail deer there.
The crocs were fun as was some of the other local animals including the little lizards we saw on the outside of the cages. The end of the tour was a small gift shop and a viewing of the 007 scene where he jumped the crocs which was done there. I passed on that since I am not a james bond fan. It was fun but the grandkids throught there was too much learning!!!

“Neat, exciting walking tour”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

We really enjoyed our tour of the swamp safari park. We walked the tour with a guide. Great crocodile experience. Good aviary and birds. Good pictures available. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. Ready to take their time and answer questions. Set up more like a zoo than anything else.

The James bond island was a neat way to end the tour. The crocodiles were the center piece of the tour.
