Two families with 5 teenage girls, we booked the ride and swim through shore trips and saved some decent money off the cruise ship price. There was no trouble meeting our driver in Falmouth and we had a 20 min drive in the countryside, which took us in to the 'real' Jamaica and definitely not the tourist version. The stables were pretty basic but the horses were in good physical shape. We were taught the basics but the horses are on auto-pilot so very little skill is required--great for novices but probably a little dull for anyone else. The ride was nice and the swim was the highlight but do keep in mind previous reviews in that you don't swim with your own horse as a group but take turns doing little loops of a very small bay. Our kids really enjoyed it. It was not what I would describe as a 'premium' experience but it was good value for a 3.5 hour excision from the ship.
