This is something you must see, see the water glow on your body at night it is an amazing sight and there is only one place like this in Jamaica you must see it. It is awesome.

Nice trip if you go into the water. But watching from the boat it might be a little boring. The glow isn't so impressive.

The sea actually glistens! All the fish and their scales make it look like the sea is glistening and shining! Lovely to have a fresh cooked fish meal after swimming and soaking up the experience.

Don't go when the moon is bright. It would be waste of your money. Plan to jump in and swim. Our youngest daughter wanted to get in the water my husband jumped in with his shorts. .

We didn't eat here because we came exclusively to experience the Luminous Lagoon. The cost is $25 per person and includes a rum punch or fruit punch. The wait wasn't too bad. We had a medium size group and only a handful of us actually got into the water. Remember this excursion is at night so that we can actually see the micro-organisms light up as we move around in the water. The water was warm and murky and the sand feels yucky!! I highly recommend you to wear water shoes so you don't feel that stuff on the bottom of your feet.

All in all, the experience was great especially because there are only other 3 places in the world where you can see this happen. Once you have done it you don't have to do it again.... so it's basically like crossing out something on your bucketlist!!

Also, when we were getting out of the water we could still see the blue sparkling all over our swimsuits. The stars were beautiful and the sky was clear this night which made this excursion even better!!

The only downside is we used our Go Pro camera to record and it all came out black so we have virtually no photos of this event. Please bring a camera that takes good night time photos.
