My friends and I went and were so excited to see the luminous lagoon/glistening waters! We saw photos of blue water, and a friend of mine went in July and said it was the most beautiful, amazing thing he's ever seen. Unfortunately, no one mentioned that in the cold months, you could barely see anything.

We were brought out to black, murky waters and told to get in. Nothing happened. We bottled up the water to take back to our room (the effect is supposed to last at least 5 days), shut off all the lights and shook the bottle... and we saw a little spark, but that's it.

I'd like to go back, but for $50+ I'm weary to head to this place for a possible dud. If you're going to check this place out, make sure it's HOT outside! The organisms don't react in cooler weather.

The lagoon is quite pretty especially at night and there is a good view of the Falmouth Pier. The food however I found to be average and the service a bit slow

Food at the restaurant is only fair and the service was very slow, even by Jamaican standards. You receive 1/2 off the boat ride into the unbelievable glowing waters of the luminous lagoon. Truly a once in a lifetime experience as only 4 bioluminescent lagoons exist worldwide. The glowing waters are best after a hot sunny day. Don't go if raining or the day was cool and overcast. Enjoy.

You really have to experience it to understand. They take you out in a boat and the wake of the boat glows. When you go swimming, you glow.
We would grab handfuls of water and lift them up and when the water ran down our arms, it was like we had little lights running down.
Truly amazing!

Once in a lifetime experience. We went with our children and we all jumped in a swam in the water. Wear water shoes the bottom is mucky. To take a picture of the water is hard. We found that putting our camera on "twilight" was the only way to catch it. Durring your ride back to the resort remember to rub your arms and legs fast...you will still glow!
