My friends and I went and were so excited to see the luminous lagoon/glistening waters! We saw photos of blue water, and a friend of mine went in July and said it was the most beautiful, amazing thing he's ever seen. Unfortunately, no one mentioned that in the cold months, you could barely see anything.
We were brought out to black, murky waters and told to get in. Nothing happened. We bottled up the water to take back to our room (the effect is supposed to last at least 5 days), shut off all the lights and shook the bottle... and we saw a little spark, but that's it.
I'd like to go back, but for $50+ I'm weary to head to this place for a possible dud. If you're going to check this place out, make sure it's HOT outside! The organisms don't react in cooler weather.
