We have spent a couple of nights of bliss it is so charming, all you could wish for. We stayed in the "hayloft" (its what reminded me of my farmhouse i used to have) hosts were fantastic. Can't recommend it enough, food was superb. We will stay again. thank you Stef and Richard.

Room Tip: quite, tranquil, no kids about! get away from it all, great.

A last minute decision to take a short break to de-stress brought us to Bays Farm and must have been heaven sent! Quietly tucked away in Suffolk, Bays Farm is the most delightful place we have ever had the good fortune to find. Stephanie and Richard have thought of every comfort a guest could wish for and many you just wouldn't have thought of. The Farm is decorated and furnished to the highest standard and the service they provide beats any 5* hotel. Needless to say, we booked our next break before leaving. Rob & Debbie Broadley.

We stayed here overnight when visting a local restaurant - 745pm. What a delightful B and B. We had the smallest room (Cream) with a good bathroom and even our own Nespresso coffee maker - a first! Free wifi was another nice touch. The room however was larger than we have experienced in a well known Suffolk boutique hotel. Furnishings first class. Very friendly willing and hard working owners who have a delightful garden in which we were free to wander. Bed was turned down for us while we were out. Great breakfast next morning - better than recently experienced at a 4 star hotel. This is definitely a 5 star B and B but at a sensible price.

Room Tip: We had a peek in The Hayloft which is their largest room with a large sitting area, a full bathroom...

We have stayed in the Blue room as a twin several times now and it never ceases to please. Stephanie and Richard are charming hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The beds are so comfortable you don't want to get up but you have a delicious breakfast waiting for you. The gardens are beautiful to have a stroll around and the whole place oozes an air of tranquility, perfect for getting away from the stresses of modern life. We hope to have many more visits in the future. Chris & Peter W

One of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed in, more luxurious than many 4 and 5 star hotels. How many hotels have a cappuccino maker in the rooms?! Great full English breakfast as well. We stayed in the smallest room which was £75 for 2 people inc breakfast. There are other larger rooms that are a little more expensive but our room was more than adequate. The only thing to point out is that the rooms start at £75 not £45 as stated on Trip Advisor. This is still a bargain considering what you get though! Highly recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Lavish restoration has turned this charming 17th-century farmhouse into a quality destination. The most recent changes have seen the addition of a separate shower in the Blue Room and an upgrade to a King Size bed in the Cream Room. A moat and 4 acres of recently re-designed gardens which open under the National Garden Scheme surround the property. The interior has a wealth of oak beams and the individually designed bedrooms are luxuriously furnished and each have en-suite facilities. The Hayloft is beautifully appointed and offers a comfortable lounge area along with its own balcony looking over the orchard. Possibly the most luxurious Shepherd Hut in the country is located in the wild flower garden and overlooks the newly landscaped moat. Why not sample the luxury of Bays Farm but with the individuality of a special shepherd hut experience. Bays Farms is very pleased to have been reviewed by our guests as the #1 5* B&B in East Anglia for the last four years (Trip Advisor 2013 - 2017). Why not come and experience a stay at Bays Farm? Please note we no longer serve supper on Saturday evenings as all local eateries are open for business. Very occasionally we have to close the kitchen on other evenings. ... more   less
