Owner description: La Maddalena Archipelago National Park is a geomarine protected area consisting of a group of islands situated in the north-east of the coast of Gallura, in the stretch of sea between Sardinia and Corsica known as Bocche di Bonifacio. These islands – except for La Maddalena Island housing the homonymous town and characterized by a significant human presence – are entirely deserted or scattered with small human settlements, like in Caprera and Santa Maria Islands.

This beach is larger than most. There are dunes here, too. Also we found a young woman with brochures explaining about the Parco Nationale and how it is protected.

Beautiful and peaceful. Lovely atmosphere in the very charming city. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely, peaceful beaches, magnificent views from the coast road and exciting nature.

At "Bassa Trinita" beach everyday you can enjoy an unbelievable sunset, facing the beach. In clear sky days you've a view up to Corsica island, more than 20 miles away. The sunlight reflection bring lights half an hour more than sunset, and you can enjoy meantime something to drink or eat in the light cafetteria called "Trinità" upon the beach.

Small group of eight people. Sailing boat with captain and mate who entertained us, catered, and sailed us around the Maddalena islands (the archipelago).

We did a tour with Consorzio del Golfo from Cannigione and it was the absolute highlight of our holiday. Astonishing bright blue water, sandy beaches with strange volcanic rock formations, a surprisingly tasty pasta lunch ("courtesy of the captain") and views of Capo d'Urso with its bizarre vast bear rock. Also a quick trip to the town of La Maddelena and charming alleys and squares. The boat we were on seemed less crowded than the others we saw, and we had no difficulty in securing a top-deck (open air) table for each of the 5 legs (by being prompt for each bit). We took a parasol for essential shade at beach stops, and plenty of cold water. Brilliant.
