“Not very good food and expensive”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

the place is nice, as it is in the middle of the Maddalena Island, but the food was not typical italian and the cost was way to high for what we have eaten.
I would not recommend this restaurant to people who enjoy real italien food

“Wonderful surprise, spectacular setting”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

We were referred here by a local friend in LM. We had a great experience at Locanda del Mirto! The menu is quite extensive, including lots of meat options as well as exceptional traditional dishes and fish. The setting is incredible and we dined under an amazing view of the stars. Slightly pricey but I considered it worth the cost. Definitely worth the drive up into the hills!

“A little gem on the hidden path!”
Reviewed May 26, 2012 via mobile

Trusted tripadvisor and decided to try this adorable restaurant last night.
We were greeted and taken care of right away.
The menu is very extensive and we were unsure to go for seafood or meat. Everything was quite inviting.
Being up in the hills we went for meat...and what a nice surprise!
A pasta dish of gnocchetti all'isolana with tomato and pork. A chianina carpaccio. A rib chianina steak and a steak tartars that was so good and delicate that we could have had more!
Excellent wine list at very reasonable prices.
A must go back!
Kudos to these folks who deserve the best!!!!!!

“Excellent, not economic but delicious food”
Reviewed August 12, 2011

We went there with another couple (4pax) and We called to make the reservation. We couldn't find place in the outside Tibetan inspired gazebos... Which gives you a lot of intimacy, so as it was fully booked, We decided to ask for a table in the middle of the garden. Great option for a romantic or pleasure dinner. The antipasto of cheese and crudo is extraordinary and perfect to share. Very nice presented. The clamari agrodolce were also fantastic. If you are planning to take the speciality Porceddu -grilled pork- you should not ask.for a primo... The quantity is enough for taking an antipasto or primo and the Porceddu. Anyway We asked for 4 entrees or antipasto, 4 primi and 2 Porceddu, 2 bottles of one of their best wines... The count was 250€ with tax and tips included. As I said before, it is not cheap but for the quality, environment, and service was a correct price. The sunset is probably the best hour to go.
