We stayed for 9 days here in chalet on arrival greeted and all local area explained etc. shown to accommodation. Aqua parc and crazy golf and park all great so is free fishing . I found bar area a little expensive but that's each to thier own.€6.10 for pint a little steep. Might just be location prices. Major issue for me was no tv in chalet it was quite hard to keep kids entertained of night as no ebtrrtainment on at bar for kids. Intermarche out of camp on right about 3km cheap as chips for food and drink also really cheap pay as you go fuel. Cheapest I found anywhere in France. Loads to do around perigord so not stuck to camp . La roque gingac is great with boat trip. Would go again but not without breaking journey up 17 hrs mon stop driving not good! Stay at abbeville hotel f1 for break only €35 and €7 fit all you can eat breakfast

Stayed for a week in late May with Eurocamp at this site and we were very impressed. The site is very clean, the owners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The pool area is excellent as is the play area for the kids. We ate in the restaurant a number of times and were impressed by the quality of the food at reasonable prices.

This is a really nice site, a little hilly but nothing that will cause problems to most people.
We booked a mobile unit direct with the site and were really pleased, they were able to send me through a map of the park and photos showing the exact location of the available unit so we knew exactly what we were getting. It was a lovely location, facing out onto the lake with plenty of our own private garden to enjoy.
Some of the other (Canvas and Eurocamp I think) companies units were further round and seemed a little squashed in in comparison, still perfectly nice though.
Pool area is great, they don't enforce the Speedos only rule but may be worth taking some in case they ever do. great outdoor and indoor pools, sometimes getting a sunbed was tricky but never a major issue, always eventually got one to use, and with small kids we rarely had time to lie back and relax too much!
The slides and the new kids splash zone is great too.
The kids play park is really nice, some good shade here also.
Only ate lunches at the restaurant which were always ok, never ate there in the evening other than the takeaway - again just what you would expect from this sort of thing, pizzas good!
We never stayed up for the entertainment as preferred to put the kids away and sit and enjoy some relaxing time and plenty of good wines and beers. Others seemed to enjoy the entertainment though, it seemed pretty varied in terms of the schedule. Always quiet at night, the entertainment always stopped promptly at around 12.00 and we never had a problem with dogs, frogs or any other sort of disturbance.
Some nice places to visit in the region, Domme was a favorite and well worth a visit plus there is a great river beach at the bottom of the hill.
Etang du Tangs is also good, gets much busier as the day goes on.
A great place all in all, would go back but also want to explore other areas of France before we do this.

Room Tip: Try booking direct with the site, a little cheaper, nice units plus you can see exactly where you wi...

I have been staying on campsites in France & Italy since 1987 & this was probably one of the best. Clean, quiet, good facilities & position. All the staff were very friendly & helpful.
Emplacement was excellent. All noise ceased around midnight each night & despite online reviews complaining of persistent dog barking from nearby farms (which nearly put us off booking) we never heard a thing & I am sensitive to noise. All in all an excellent site. Even the evening entertainment was pretty good (for a French campsite!) & they had a couple of excellent live bands.

We stayed 10 days during a heat wave (38' in the shade!) and had a brilliant time- camping pitches are good sizes, shower blocks also have washing machines , baby baths and even a shower for dogs! There seemed to be cleaners always around so the buildings were immaculate. The restaurant is under canopy cover and is well priced with a good range of local food ( lots of fois gras) and excellent wood fired pizzas, omelettes etc for a lighter meal. Coffee is 2-3 euro, beer 2€ and glass of house wine 2.5€ so very reasonable! Kids club is on 4 hours a day run by French and Dutch girls - our two went 3 times depending on what activities were on and really enjoyed it. There are 5 swimming pools, a kids' water park, slides etc also a jumping pillow, play area and outside gym area. There are free ping pong tables, crazy golf for a fee, various exercise classes and aqua aerobics daily, and different evening entertainment including live bands, quizzes and karaoke- highly recommended and extremely well priced .

We have just got back from a weeks stay with Eurocamp at Les Peneyrals with our 2 children(aged 4 & 2) & had a great time. Theres plenty for the kids to do with 3 swimming pools, plus a splash pool with water cannons, slides, fountains etc & they are all open until about 9pm. The park is really good & theres an 18 hole grazy golf course, plus you can hire bikes for all different ages. The food at the restaurant was nice & not too expensive & you can get takeaways as well. The wine was cheap at 1.60 Euro a glass! Theres a supermarket a few miles away on the road to Salignac & the town for Sarlat is only 10 miles away. All the staff were very friendly & helpfull & we would definately be going back!

Room Tip: Get a caravan with Air con in.

We spent 3 weeks at the camping les Peneyrals from the 4th to the 25th of August 2012, and it really was our best ever holiday. We were in a mobile home "riviera" which was perfect and in the shade which was very welcome on those very hot days !! The owners was so friendly and welcoming, and all the staff, reception / bar / shop / cleaners were so all so nice. Even our dog was welcomed everywhere and has a special dog shower to keep him clean & cool !!. We had such a great time on the campsite our two girls (12 & 14) didnt want to leave and are already talking about next year !!! Swimming, slides, golf, table tennis, and of course the fishing !! The food in the restaurant was just mouth watering !! so good i didn't even use the cooking facilities in the mobile home !! and the prices were so reasonable it worked out cheaper to eat in the campsite restaurant than to cook for the 4 of us. !! Every evening something different music shows, casino, bingo.... we ll be back next year and are looking forward to it already !!
