“Great Pub”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Great ale, great ambiance, great host and great food. Mathieu is a true gent, nothing is too much trouble .
Just come back from a very damp week and the Duck was probably the only thing that stopped us from going mad.
You have to try the Feuilleté Pommes Foie Gras and also the Tourtière du Bougnat, simply wonderful.
We will be backm, that's a promise and a warning !

“What a great find !!”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

We were staying in the Dordogne and saw the Black Duck reviews on trip advisor. Loved the Guinness Duck and the other dishes we ordered for dinner!! It was a rainy night and the cozy yet sophisticated ambience added to the great meal. Don't know what else to add. Wish we lived nearby - we'd be regulars.... We had trouble finding the place, so if you're not staying in the neighborhood, call for directions.

“Great Irish Pub”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Went to a wedding here & it's a great Irish Pub. Nice big garden & courtyard round the back. It's about 2 miles down a small country road but well worth a visit.

“The Black Duck - We will return.”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

A fantastic pub/restaurant. The owner is very welcoming and speaks excellent English which puts us to shame with our lack of French. The food is really delicious, a limited menu but everything on it appears to be freshly cooked and everything we had was delicious. Beautiful surroundings. We wish this was our local!
