Amazing food and great location, if your looking for good food and service there’s no where better, our waiter explained the complete menu to us in English.

We chose this restaurant whilst wandering around Bonifacio, due to the positive reviews on Tripadvisor.

Normally we found the reviews to be quite representative, but we found there to be a complete misalignment in this case, hence my review.

After sitting down you’re subjected to a 5-10 minute talk by the manager/ owner (in French-no verification as to whether you understand French, but I put this down to the restaurant being “quirky”) going in to great detail on every dish and the background of the produce.

Although a little tedious if your French isn’t great and you struggle to follow him, it suggested they were passionate about what they do, and set the bar high expectation wise (in alignment with the high prices they charge)

When our dishes arrived we were both sadly disappointed. Both were of a very low standard and tasteless. To give some context, if you went to an average pub, in a small town in the Uk, paying half the price, you’d expect way better food.

As we were hungry and were paying fine dining prices, we finished what we could, politely informed the waiter we didn’t like the food and just settled the bill, skipping dessert.

On a positive note, the (Portuguese?) waiter and the waitress were both very nice and the service was pretty good.

Thankyou Trip Advisor for heading us in the direction of this gem. The food was not only delicious but presented beautifully. The restaurant itself is in the old town and directly to the right hand side of restaurant is a great spot to take a shot of the sunset !
Our waiter ‘Telmo’ spoke English, Italian and French and was very accommodating. He explained the entire menu to all guests and nothing was a problem for him.
Highly recommend to anyone lucky enough to visit the beautiful Bonifacio!

The best for local specialties. The service is gentle and the location is great. Lot of sea food and terroir items. The place to go for a nice lunch or dinner.

Had a light lunch here with a large group of friends when we were visiting Bonifacio. A local friend recommended it. Not much is open in March and we were glad to find Aria Nova open. It is a really lovely restaurant in a great location in the old town. The staff were very friendly, fun, and welcoming. We just had a light meal of various appitizers. All were wonderful, and beautifully presented. It was quite pricy, however. Not surprizing being in the heart of a very touristy town. Great food though.
