“Best food in Little Corn Island”
Review of Rosas Restaurant

This is perhaps of the only places you can have home-made food with fresh ingredients in Little Corn Island.

We shall not call it restaurant because it has basically 3 tables and no service but the goodwill of a family running the "business". You can get an excellent breakfast including the coffee and a bowl of fruit for just USD 3 (flat rate) and you can enjoy local food such as shrimps, fish and run-down locally made.

The "restaurant" is run for Rosa and her husband, and by her daughter. The menu is basic but excellent and the price is the cheapest you can get in the island. As the are shortages of electricity, there is nothing frozen so most of things are fresh and once the supplies are gone, they are just simply gone! Supplies only arrive Friday to the island!!

Because you are in the Caribbean and in a family-run restaurant, the service is a bit slow. You can go inside and see them cooking, with its 6 fires cook and the few pans that they have to clean any time they change what they are cooking! But once the food come, enjoy the excellent mum-style food and big portions!!!!!!!!

Think that by going to Rosa, you are supporting a local family and not just a restaurant or a foreign-owned business. And she is trying to keep quality high and price as low as the markets indicate!

Feel free to bring your own booze and drinks if you want

We ate at Rosa's almost every single morning, and ate there one night for dinner.
Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. This restaurant has only 3 tables outside the owners home. You meet a lot of people there because if there is an extra chair at your table, someone will sit with you.
Breakfast is only $3! It's includes coffee or tea, a beautiful bowl of fruit, and pinto gallo with eggs, or pancakes or french toast.
I'm a vegetarian, and my dinner was fair. But the man had lobster, and he said it was the best lobster on the island, and I think it was around $8.
You must check it out.

Rosas has, in our opinion, the absolute best breakfast on Little Corn Island. Eggs (prepared a variety of ways), gallo pinto, and coconut bread toast (also try the coconut bread french toast - awesome). Each meal comes with a fruit bowl with fresh coconut, watermelon, and citrus as well as coffee. All this for $3 a person. We tried a couple of other places, but realized you can't do any better than Rosas!

We had our Rundown here and it was very good. We came by one morning after breakfast and asked Rosa if she can accommodate my husband's seafood allergy when making the rundown. I was prepared to have the non shellfish version when Rosa surprised us later that evening and made two versions--one for him (with fish) and the other for me (with fish and shrimp). We really enjoyed our meal. It was very filling and absolutely delicious. We returned the next morning for their best value breakfast at $3!
