Often cheap popular hostels you get what you pay for, but in this place you get ripped off. The service is awful. They have no interest in being friendly and struggle to perform the must rudimentery task. They forgot soap and towels and breakfast orders. The room we stayed in had bug nets that did not fit and were filled with holes. There was a hole in the roof. The bathroom doors were made of plastic bottles, which is in itself i dont mind, but they were hideous. Carlitos hostel is the same price and next door. There are many cheaper places in town. Don't stay here.

As is described in other reviews here, Grace's is an economy, backpacker spot. Very bare bones...but that's what I expected, so no problem. Calling ahead to reserve a spot was futile--you choose from what they've got when you show up. Unfortunately for us, all that was available was a couple rooms on the backside, which meant no breeze, but also only US$10/night. The very friendly staff tracked down electric fans for us (taking them out of staff rooms, I think) and quickly repaired the faulty electrical plug in our room. With the fan going, we slept comfortably on even a warm night...at least until the island power goes off at 5am. But by then it was getting light out, so I got some good reading in watching the sun rise on the beach.

Best part was the clientele--very friendly people from all over the world hanging out, socializing, and having a good time.

I only ate at the restaurant in the center of Grace's Place and it was a good deal. The whole fried fish was cooked well, the sauces they make there are flavorful and the dinner sides are the best I had at any of the restaurants.
Down side is the local bathroom is pretty low tech with flush bucket located outside the tiny stall. The sink for washing up just outside never a problem on any of the occasions we visited.

There was not a second of hesitating - this was the place to stay :
- Literaly on the beach
- Friendly
- nice (small but cheap) rooms wth mosquito nets
- great bar/reastaurant, reasonable prices
- COLORFUL, so caribbean style, just gives you the good vibe

Cons :the stuff is sometimes exosted, they work long shifts and sometimes in the morning they need time to "warm up the engine". Rooms at the back can be accessible for crabs :)))

Nice barbeque, bum-fire, flashing WC (!!!!), laundry service (6 USD for 12 pieces). I'll recommend it to any backpacker, but its not a place for fancy tourism.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front are close to the bar, so sometimes there might be some loud music from the bar. B...

After the 15 minute walk from the peer I thought to myself I am definitely not staying this far from the main village. But then I spent a night at Grace's, then two, then eight nights. It is great staying on this part of the island and going to the other side of the island when you need to. The accommodations are basic, but with the beach right there what do else do you need.

With hammocks outside of every room the vibe is very chilled back. Grace and Shako (runs the place more or less) are always hanging around and everyone is pretty relaxed. I wouldn't eat dinner at the restaurant since you can find cheaper food at other places.

Overall I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island.

All of the huts on the far side of the island (to where the panga drops you off) are basic and rustic. It's part of the appeal and it does mean you're right on the beach, but I felt they were overpriced for what you get. Grace's huts seemed small and dark compared with Elsa's or Carlito's, but I took what I could get (everything else was full). Best value is probably to get a hut with shared bathroom rather than your own, esp as the common showers seemed to have better pressure and more light. Grace's - they do throw the best bonfires on the island. Staff are a little lethargic. Food in the restaurant was average, better to eat on the other side of the island (Tranquilo, Mango for pizza, etc). Look out for either of the patty guys who come around during the day selling beef/chicken/banana/pineapple patties. Cheap and delicious!

Grace’s Place (a.k.a. Cool Spot) is located on opposite side of the island from the village. It is about 20-30 minutes’ walk from the boat pier. About half of this walk is on paved sidewalk and the rest is just a sand path. Most of the paved sidewalk has street lights at night. The rest of the walk you have to rely on the moon or your flashlight. There are no cars or roads on the island. Little Corn Island is very small island and it felt very safe.
Grace’s Place is located together with other beach cabana rental establishments alongside a nice beach overlooking a reef. You have to walk through one cabana rental place to get to it.
Grace’s Place is about eight individual cabanas (some with private bath), main building in the center is a bar/restaurant, one double storey building with more rooms (some with private bathrooms) and shared WCs and showers in the back. All accommodation is quite simple and rustic. My cabana had two twin beds each with a mosquito screen.
The food was decent. Prices on the Corn Islands are generally a bit higher than on the mainland. There are no ATMs, so bring cash. I was told there was no Wi-Fi on this side of the island.
The best about this place was the beach and its staff, very relaxed and hospitable.

Room Tip: I recommend staying in a room/cabana with private bathroom.
