Not only does Equinoccio have great food and service but we got to watch a short but beautiful slideshow of the Rabin Ajau Indigenous beauty pageant that takes place each year in Coban. This is the only place that has it since the local photographer who took the portraits is a friend of the owners. If you don't get to come in August for the pageant, this is a nice way to make up for that and get to know this part of Coban's and Guatemala's national heritage. I would give Equinoccio 5 stars but I'm taking away one because it's not centrally located and as of this post they don't have good signage, so you have to really look for it. I know, many of the best places to eat are hole-in-the-walls but this restaurant is actually really big and beautiful and seemingly well organized so I'm taking points off of them for not making it a bit easier on people. Despite that, I highly reccomend making the effort to get here because the food is better than any I tried here in Guatemala.
