I took the trip to Similan from Phuket. It is a long car ride of 2.5 hours but worth it.

Similan island was so beautiful with crystal clear water remind me of Maldives. Cannot believe Thailand still have such beautiful unpolluted beaches. I have been to islands closer to Phuket eg PP island all polluted. There is multi islands and they will stop in 2-3. Beach is nice. Snorkelling is ok but not much to see as they water is deep.

Love Andaman is well operated as tour operator. I have been to some others. They are slightly more expensive but they have new or good quality car, boat and good guest area. Breakfast before on board. And I was impressed when we return. Super hungry they served noodle, salads and ice cream very much needed. (Not for other operator)

There is a shop in the guest centre. They do not allow slippers or shoes to the island and you need to be bare food. Buy the beach sock in the shop. We consider it one of our best investment.

The guide is friendly and nice. The island is crowded and Love Andaman also serve a lot of guests but these days every places are.

Love Andaman is a great choice for a Phi Phi islands trip. Made multiple stops at multiple islands, felt efficient but never rushed. Lunch is not marketed at all, but is very nice as you stop at an island and eat at a resort buffet - not just a couple sandwiches that they pull out of a cooler. Our guide Jessie was amazing, and made it feel like a personalized tour. We were a group of four and the only people that spoke English on the 30+ people group, so that definitely contributed to the personalized feel of the tour for us, but Jessie was so attentive I'm convinced it would've felt that way no matter how many other English speakers there were.

Only downfall of the trip was the early pickup to sit around and wait. We were picked up at 6:30 just to wait around at the docks for two hours. They provided a very light breakfast with some cookies and such, but still was unnecessary to wait for that long. Would've given 4.5 stars for that if possible, as that process could've been significantly streamlined and more reliable.

Very well organized trip. Islands were beautiful, especially snorkeling. Sea Dragon island was the best!

If you love an early morning pick up only to stand around for an hour waiting to leave...if you love being herded like sheep and shoved around...if you love mediocre mass produced food for which you have to line up for ages...if you love an 'intimate' experience with 2000+ Chinese tourists (rude, pushy and abusive) then you will love this trip.
We booked a snorkelling day trip to the Similian islands with Love Adaman and it was hell from start to finish. In all a 10 hour day with less than an hour of snorkelling. The lunch island accomodated 50+ boats the same as ours so around 2000 people - most behaving like they had not eaten for days. Pushing and shoving and cutting in lines (some to get a second helping). The worst was the person who emptied his bowels in the water where everyone was swimming after lunch.
This company caters for the (rude) masses. Very difficult to get an appreciation for the beauty of the surrounds given the screaming hoards of humanity and I suspect the pressures of numbers will destroy this part of the world before too much longer.
Glad when the day was over. Arrived back at port only to be told we would not be taken to our hotel until after the dinner meal. WTF? More unappetising food. More lining up and pushing and shoving. After arriving at port at 4.15pm we were still hanging around at 5.30 and told no driver was available and it would 'be a while'. That was the proverbial straw!! Needless to say after we let loose on the guide a van and driver miraculously turned up to ferry us back to the hotel.
NEVER AGAIN - please be warned. There are a number of operators that do this trip and I suspect all are much the same as there were many boats with different company logos at the lunch island. We paid B1850. Advertised at B2600 on the brochure. But we spoke to people who paid as little as B900 and as much as B3200.
Spoke to some fellow travellers at our hotel who had done the trip via private speed boat. Early morning departure, visited and snorkelled three sites and we're back to port around lunchtime. Took their own food/snacks but had a great time. Not sure how you would organise this but next time this is the way we would do it.

They do a great logistics job in getting so many people through their morning routine.

The seems to be there for many operators - hence you are given an identifier wrist band.
They provide light breakfast (ok) but little explanation.

We took the Surin Islands snorkeling tour (booked via our hotel) but were disappointed with the number of people they crammed on the boat.
Seating was way to narrow, leaving too little space for our legs to rest.

Almost 2 hours in an uncomfortable position and 2 snorkeling stops instead of 3.

Lunch in a campsite was ok and the beach there was really nice.
Snorkeling stops were impressive with plenty of colorful fish.

The sheer number of people in the boat and ca. 1/2 of them fairly ruthless pushing fellow passengers and kids aside turned us off

If you are looking for smaller groups and a more relaxed atmosphere - better choose a different operator.
