Choices are fairly limited in Thailand to find something decent by the beach which accepts our pet dog and happy to say Sunset Village is one of them. Having said there are some restrictions such as no pets in the pool or restaurant areas, which is the way it should be. This a solid 3 star resort with an overall rustic appearance with a nice safe beach. The menu has an extensive choice of western and thai food and I must say the thai food quality was excellent overall. This resort is well out of the way between Pattaya and Bang Saray with no local markets or shops close by so you can either can get the resort shuttle into town or ask reception to call you a taxi. The only complaint is there is no in house spa or massage service so if you want one reception will call a masseuse from outside for 1000 THB - no thanks. Overall well priced and a nice stay especially as a dog owner and will return again sometime in the future.

my wife and i had a beach villa with views over the bay of Thailand for amazing sunsets.
the staff were excellent, and couldnt get enough of our two grand daughters,2 and 4.
the facilities throughout the complex were clean and tidy, although an update would be in order.
a nice quiet place to unwind after a long flight from uk.

Went there for 4 nights last week in Feb. Very remote but quiet. You are unable to find nearby shops as too far to main road. You can walk a mile along the beach when tide out to get to another restaurant. Room fine. Breakfast ok. Staff very good. Beach where chalets are not so good but better further on but got to watch tide times. Food in restaurant bit pricy. Thought prices for overnight stay bit steep at about £84.

Room tip: One nearest the sea as nice outlook.

Stayed here on September 2016.

The bungalows are very lovely, clean and with working aircon. Yes, it all has an older touch, but still working and clean.
The view to the beach and the sea is just beautiful. Very good to enjoy the sunset on your personal terrace with a drink in your hand.

But the beach on the other hand is not so nice, also the water is quite opaque and sometimes foamy. This is probably to be found on any mainland beach south of Bangkok.

The breakfast was good and with some variety.

The Wifi was quite fast (10Mbit).

Only stayed there two nights, would liked to enjoy more. Although it's quite pricey.

Probably one of the best beach venues on this stretch of coast. An extensive Thai menu and absolutely fantastic. The beach location is magical with an expansive decked area and even some tables on the grass by the beach. So romantic.
There is also a great two for one offer up to 7pm every night so well worth dropping in for a cold one just to see the view.
As with all my Bang Saray reviews, the magnificent sunsets are natures free gift to you. ENjoy.
