We have stayed a few days at Platinum Beach Resort former Aquarius Sports Resort. On Independence Day, it was a party there, very drunk Sinhaleses vomited in the pool. We told the manager to empty the pool and wash clean, and fill it with fresh water. This was ignored and then we left the place with words …we don’t swim in others puke. Reportedly so leased for 5 years of a completely ignorant person of the hotel business, who sucks out every penny of profit. Extremely poorly managed. We experienced staff tried to fix it so we thrived. The ordinary chef cooked excellent food, accommodation (not a high standard) in a beautiful setting. No room cleaning or exchange of towels. Using the shower the floor was filled with water, some construction error from beginning, even after several years not fixed. Could be a gem but destroyed from the poor understanding of what a client can reasonably expect for the money he pays.
