not easy to book this hotel online. i called direct to make a reservation. 120k won for a 2 bedrm suite for family of 4, spacious. requested water kettle n a helpful staff sent it up. room was a bit overheated but we managed to sleep. free wifi at the lobby only. convenience shop at b2 same level as spa. restaurent food was gd, only 1 staff waiter but he tried his best. we bought a big box of cooked chicken parts frm sokcho mkt n he helped us to heat up the food when requested.
overall, it was a gd value hotel to us.

Pros: staff (nice, some spoke English), lobby, spa
Cons: hard bed (normal Korea), questionable restaurant/bar, extra fee for spa

Bottom line: I stayed at a motel two doors down the next night for less than half the price, paid 9000 won to use the Greenyard spa, and the experience was virtually the same (clean room, hard bed)

First, all the motels/hotels in Osaek are very close together (walk past all of them in 10min), so location is really a non-issue. I stayed at the Greenyard for one night Nov2011. I got a western style room for 1 person. It was clean, looked nice, superficially upgraded. I just needed a place to sleep. Unfortunately, the air couldn't be turned down under 20 deg C, so I opened the window but the room still didn't cool down much (not sure why). I noticed the next morning that a fan was in the corner (this must be a common issue). The bed was hard, which is average in Korea, but disappointing nonetheless.
I went to the restaurant/bar area to get a cup of tea. The staff wanted to help but seemed surprised by the request and had to round up a paper cup and tea bag; there's no microwave or hotpot/coffee pot in the room.
I went down to the spa and had to pay 5000 won, even as a guest. It was fine (naked spa, multiple temp baths, including a carbonic acid bath) although I don't think massage services were really available; they appear to be trying but aren't super organized or 100% at this point. Something was just missing.
