This is probably the grandest of all Ilocos Norte Hotels what with its historic charm.
Was fortunate enough to grab a deal that entitled my family a stay for three nights with the 3rd night free.
The place was huge. Senior Citizens or those with walking disability may find it hard to get from one building to another.
But boy, their amenities are five star and you could really see and feel that it is being properly maintained.
The place was also picture perfect as it is by the sea.
Would stay here over and over again.

went to Laoag city and vicinity just recently. stayed at this gorgious place.(Fort Ilocandia Resort and Casino). rooms were huge with balconies.grounds were landscaped and they have an aviary and a small zoo. buffet breakfast was plentifull w/ lots of varieties. had all sorts of facilities. really worth the money which is truly reasonable. will stay here again for sure.
make this hotel your base here and within a radius of 15 kilometers, you can find the legendary Paoay church, Marcos museum with the preserved body of the former president. venture further and you can go to pagupud with it's sand dunes and also to Vigan to see the spanish era houses and the city's cobbled streets. make it worth your time, come visit Northern Philippines.

Room Tip: ask for a seaview room...

Their lobby is not impressive. But the food is great! I like their buffet breakfast and they have an egg station where you can have your egg cooked the way you want it. They have a good variety of choices. I like their rooms with veranda overlooking a common garden. Though not much to do at night except to go to the casino or listen to a few music or jam at their bar. The place is not accessible. Beach is dark at night you have no choice but to use the pool. I love their garden, so romantic for a garden wedding set-up. Next time I go up north I'll find a hotel which is accessible.

The place was great and big though a little creepy because of the old architectural designs. Food were great in their cafe (they serve buffet) and crews were very friendly. Their standard triple sharing room, though a little small was nice since its clean and every room has its own veranda. You can do several outdoor activities inside Fort Ilocandia such as swimming, horseback riding, archery, firing range and ATV. They do provide tour arrangements as well to make your trip more comfortable. The only problem here is that the location is 4kms away from the central city since its near the sea. You should have a service car or rent a tricycle if you want to get out. But overall, my stay in Fort Ilocandia was awesome! Definitely worth the price!

This is a world class hotel and resort north of manila, the quality should not be this way. Management should wake up and try to do something about smoking policy of the hotel. Putting ash tray all over the hotel property is encouraging guest to smoke, which is not good, including guest room.
We will never ever go back to that hotel resort anymore until smoking policy is change.
