Owner description: 4x4 rides, ATV rides and Sandboarding...

POSITIVES: A unique, thrilling experience, from standing in the back of a 4x4 on a bumpy ride across the dunes, to sandboarding down a steep hillside at reckless velocity. Breathtaking, panoramic views. Supportive, enthusiastic guide; value for money; easy and convenient to arrange transport to and from Laoag city center via the LEAD Movement.

NEGATIVES: Minimal safety precautions for both the 4x4 ride and the sandboarding activities -- you MUST know what you're getting yourself into when you visit here. (If you're willing to take responsibility for whatever happens, it's definitely worth the risk, for daredevil types.) Avoid visiting close to mid-day, if you can: the searing heat makes it painful to climb up from the blazing sands.

I like best is the high drop...my kids call it nitro....I disliked, the lack of safety feature of passengers from the back and the high rental rate....but still a must experience...

Sand dunes is a must try in Ilocos trip. It was the best part of our trip. You should include this in your budget. P2,500 already includes an hour of 4X4 jeepney roller coaster ride which includes sand boarding. My kids had a great time.

it was really hot there...of course that was expected, it's a desert.
you need a 4x4 to have fun here. no exception. good thing you can hire one in within the city or on the way there. they won't let you drive on your own so then driver/guide is included. also sand-board was provided with the package.

riding the 4x4 is like a roller coaster...without seat belts!! we opt to stand while we were going up and down the sand trails. what a rush!
there were picture points too. it was setup nicely with the scenes

after the 4x4 we sand-boarded. boy was the hill steep. it was a different kind of fun!.
the only downside with boarding was going up for the 2nd or 3rd round. it was really tiring

if you're into extreme sports or thrillers, then this is a must. very exciting 4 x 4 drive and screaming your heart out is fun. went here during sundown so it wasn't that hot. the view is amazing. sandboarding is also great. don't miss out!
