We have decided to have our first dinner in Saramsam Ylocano Restaurant and Bar. We have had the Saramsam Pasta (with white sauce, cheese, riped mango and tomato), Poque-Poque (vegetable dish with eggplant, egg, tomato and bell pepper) and Bagnet. We love the food plus the cozy place. :)

Stopped in for lunch on our first day in the city and was a bit disappointed in the quality and the time it took to serve the order. We were there on a bit of an off hour so that may have contributed to things. Table and chairs were certainly made for local Pinoys as I had a difficult time fitting in due to my height.

The Pakbet Pizza was good but service so so slow. The Mongo soup is something one should try.The restaurant was not too far from our hotel - Balay Da Blas.

Never had a very authentic "dinuguan" pizza before & We all loved it aside from the other awesome food we ordered!

We arrived Laoag at about 1.30pm after a long roadtrip. Looked for an authentic place to eat and found Saramsam Restaurant. The waitress was very accommodating, the place was cozy and we felt at home. We ordered the dinuguan pizza, poque poque (super yummy and melts in your mouth), dragonfruit flower springroll and bagnet (too oily and too much fat for us). The price was very reasonable for the 4 dishes and rice total was about P665.00
