This hotel is modern, clean, has excellent showers, all modcons. A modest but reasonable breakfast incl eggs , price 19USD. Place is delightfully naive and provided transport back to airport but the driver literally could not drive! - but maybe second time luckier. I did move on to Sam Neua by bus thence to Vieng Xai (well worth the trip) and returned to this place.

The rooms are big and clean. The staff at reception are friendly when they are not napping (-;
Breakfast is included and quite good with baguettes and eggs. The only thing we didn't like was that in the morning the cleaning staff stops the elevator from going up and down by holding the door open until they have collected all the sheets from all the rooms.

Approached to stay at this hotel when we got off the minibus from Luang Prabang.
We are a bit passed the back-packer stage of our travels and the Anoulak suited us perfectly. Rooms were big, clean and well laid out. The bathroom had plenty of hot water. Breakfasts were served on the 5th floor and guests had a choice of cooked eggs or rice soup. Both were served with baguettes and jam. As a coffee drinker, it was disappointing that the only coffee available was the Nestle 3in1 packet variety. Lao is famous for coffee and it is a shame the hotel does not serve fresh coffee.

There is little other tourist activity in Phonsavan besides visits to the plain of Jars but the hotel is within easy walking distance of several good cheap places to eat.

Free wifi and a fantastic friendly Manager (Vung) who speaks excellent English. Happy to recommend the Anoulak to future travellers.

I work in Lao PDR and have been staying in this hotel since last year. This is the only hotel with a lift in Xiengkhuang province although I tend not to use it to keep up my exercise. The rooms are nice and clean - the last time I stayed there, I got an upgrade to a VIP room!

The breakfast lounge is on the fifth floor - do not get a room on the 4th floor as it tends to get noisy in the morning (with chairs being dragged around the floor above you.) Breakfast is the same fare of eggs, toast, jam and butter. For variety, go to the noodle shop on the main road.

We arrived at the airport in Phonsavan and were greated by Vong, a tour operator that took us to any accomodation we wanted for free. He took us here first. It was great! Huge room, WIFI, fridge, Kettle, aircon, Ensuite and breakfast for $20 USD a night. We had no complaints. It was very safe and quiet. The staff were helfpful in booking us a tour to go to the Plain of Jars.

We would stay here again, it was in a great location near restaurants and bars. What more do you want? The breakfast was pretty good too!
