“YES, the location is LOVELY, but ...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

I may expect a bit more for that amount of money in that country !!
And yes, the rooms are a kind of stylish, even a bit romantic with the mosquito net hanging on top of the bed.
But, unfortunately it's also true that they are by far too small in that budget !!
What we appreciated was the fridge and the very nice balcony with the direct view on the river and the mountains....
But, be aware that it can be also loud, if too many people hire a boat, right in front of the resort.
They are longboats and not so silent ...
And you also need to know that the rooms are touching each others.
So depending if you have a neighbor or not, and how social his behavior is, it can be annoying as well !
I would say:
Go for it, if you do not need to follow any budget. But check before how busy the place is.
But if you have to care about your spending, its simply to EXPENSIVE ...

I really liked this little guesthouse. It was quiet and had a nice view (especially the restaurant). It is all the way downstream from the rest of the town. RIGHT next to the guesthouse is where you can rent boats (for a tour). The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable--though the room was a little dark. The restaurant was decent but a little overpriced (except their happy hour drinks & smoothies). The staff were very nice--especially the gardener. Speaking of the gardener--the gardens were gorgeous!!!

I'd stay here again.

My wife and I travel around the world (mostly South and Southeast Asia) year-round. We stay in 80-100 hotels per year. We also tour many more hotels for our guests & tours (about 300 per year). We generally seek out hotels that are highly rated on TripAdvisor and Agoda so my reviews are naturally skewed toward the high end. My reviews are generally based on overall value (how much you get for what you pay). We generally stay in low mid-range hotels but have stayed in everything from hostels to luxury 5-star accommodations. If I give a 4 or 5 star rating you can rest assured it’s a nice hotel. It goes without saying that I have received nothing for submitting this review.

What a beautiful place but needs urgent attention. Not the the beautiful garden but the rooms. Service was great...from the resident manager (who upgraded us) to the service staff. All fine ! Enjoyed our stay there but urge the owner to invest some money into this great place. Otherwise it's falling apart.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good, rooms are large enough and quiet. It is located in a central area, but away from the backpacker hotels. They have mosquito nets.

This is our last stop in Laos and we were glad we chose this hotel. Couldn't ask for a better location in a hotel. The view is stunning from the terrace. Breakfast was excellent and they have the best coffee!

Will recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: Choose room facing the river

Beautiful gardens, friendly and attentive staff, owners onsite. The restaurant has excellent fare; Continental, Lao, Japanese, Vietnamese, and american. Very good breakfast with excellent coffee!
The location and view are unsurpassed in Vang Vieng.
The rooms are clean but basic. No TV, fridge telephone, however, I did not miss these as my wife and I have other interests........
A nice clean, friendly reasonably priced hotel.

We booked a riverview room, which despite not being right on the river was a nice, clean room with two single beds pushed together and a small ensuite (with a great shower!). We stayed two nights over new years 2013/14 and booked through agoda - the staff were expecting us and had keys ready when we arrived after our long car trip.

The rooms are set around a small garden and restaurant which looks out onto the river and amazing scenery. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and thought the food was great (as were all our meals in Laos).

The hotel is about a 5min walk from the main "strip" in VV and was very quiet.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a balcony and close to the entrance of the hotel as they have uninterrupted...
