This restaurant is absolutely amazing! We stumbled upon it on the way back from the caves and I could not be more happy we did! The owner is absolutely delightful, he spent time sitting down getting to know us and sharing all kinds of fascinating stories! Food in Laos is nothing remarkable but his Thai background and European influences easily made this the best meal I had in the entire country!

The beer and lemonade is also the perfect way to refresh yourself after hiking through the caves :) Greta riverside outdoor seating, absolutely beautiful.

Must eat in Laos, totally worth crossing the bridge!

Dear guests!

Viman Vang Vieng is now in the new address at the street, which from the old airport or city entrance leads to Silver Naga Hotel and Hospital. The Restaurant has now music bar for jam session and a gallery. I enjoy to meet you again and wish you all the best!

When we came here we were the only guests - I guess the toll bridge keeps away people (though it's really not expensive)
The cook had time for a chat. I enjoyed the Radler which is really special with homemade lemonade. For our curry dishes the cook went to his garden, picked some herbs and explained them to us. Food was delicious and seated right next to the river we had a great evening.

After a hot day of kayaking, we decided to walk across the toll bridge and came across Mr Kaz. He stopped to chat and we ended up having a drink. I ordered the lemon drink, not expecting anything much as it was really cheap. But it was delicious, made from scratch. The building itself is very simple but charming. Also very interesting to talk to Mr Kaz and hear about his life. Just a shame that the bridge has a toll as it may put people off.

Incredible restaurant next to the wood bridge on the other side of the river. Amazing environment, excellent service by the owner, who cooks Lao, Thai and German food in a homemade way. A large number of animals around: ducks, hens, chickens and cows, which will make kids have a whale of a time.
