It was a relief after a long bus ride from Vientiane to get into the rooms which where clean with large beds, a bathroom with a decent shower attached and a beautiful view of the hills from the outdoor area. The food service was quite slow at breakfast and lunch however the restaurant was so nice it made up for the lack of speed. Once the doors where locked insects could not find their way into the rooms however they did gather in the corridor and outside so fast locking is required.

What a gem, and great half-price on Agoda for the riverside suite. An absolute must! Good wifi, but make sure you book a king-sized bed, their twins are tiny. Beds a bit hard as well, but all in all a good stay. We also booked a private minivan to Vientiane and he came on time and an easy transaction.

Room Tip: Suite 5 was great!

Fantastic views of the sunset and sunrise. The resort had a beautiful garden with swings and gazebo. We had a balcony from which we could sit and enjoy the mountain view each day. It is situated at the start of the motorised river boat and the end for the kayaks. The breakfast was limited (but had croissants!) but we enjoyed the owner playing the guitar during the meal. Slight downside was the thin walls meaning less privacy. Our TV wasn't working but who cares with view like that. Ideal location in VV to adventure out, then come back and sit on the balcony n chill.

Room Tip: of course, pick the river-facing ones

I stayed for just one night in Room #12 and wished I had stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful views of the river & mountain from the balcony. #12 was clean, comfortable, with one large bed, powerful AC, a great shower, good lighting and an inviting balcony with chairs & sun beds & umbrella. We ate at the hotel restaurant so we could sit outside and enjoy the sunset. Service was a bit slow but the beer was cold, food tasty and the view excellent. I recommend the rooms directly facing the river.

about 3-5min tuk tuk ride from the bus station.Clean room,Great scenery. The staffs are helpful. They serve tasty local lao food. It's very quiet and peaceful staying here.Worth the price that I've paid for.You can easily walk to the boat service hut(just 1min walk from reception)to hire a boat ride along the Mekong river and enjoy the scenery.Wifi is available but it's strong at the reception and restaurant.Weak Wifi at the room. Not much variety for breakfast but they serve nice porridge. There are a lot of lizards at night,if you are afraid of lizards you just gotta ignore them, the most important thing is that they are not in the room.(There are lots of lizards in Laos anyway)You could buy VIP bus tickets to Luang Prabang or Vientianne from the receptionist and they provide free pick up to the bus station.I'll highly recommend other travelers to stay here.

Room Tip: Pick the river front suite!Beautiful scenery and garden.
