“Bring Shoes”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

Reminded me of Fraggle Rock. Very cool place. Highly recommend. And you're pretty much guaranteed to get lost so I'd also recommend hiring one of the local kids to take you around. Also...don't wear flip flops...nearly killed myself/my camera on multiple occasions. Other than that an enjoyable break from tubing.

“Impressive large cave and great swim”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

The cave seems nothing much, but once you enter, you see why taking a torch was a good idea. The cave is very big and worth the climb. In front of the cave, there is a river in which you can swim. With some ropes and a tree, it's a great place to take a break.

“Nice afternoon :)”
Reviewed July 23, 2012 via mobile

This is a nice way to pass an afternoon if you have one to spare and see a bit of the vang vieng countryside cheaply. Id recommend hiring bikes and cycling out there as its a really pretty cycle. The cave was cool and much bigger than we were expecting, be sure to go into the back left of the cave to see how big it is. Bring a headlamp if you have one as you'll have to hire one.

“Not quite blue lagoon but a great trip!”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

We took a tuk tuk out to this site - the journey through the fields is stunning so take a camera.

Hike to the cave is very steep and quite slippery but very stunning inside - quite a lot of scrambling and shimmying involved to get to the actual cave so dress appropriately!

The 'blue lagoon' (which is at the bottom, before the climb, not the other side of the cave as we had thought!) was more of a muddy brown colour in July but a welcome cool off to swim in never the less.

“A nice visit”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

Takes a while to get there - 7KM out of town but it is worth the trip as you pass farmers working in the rice paddies. A very steep climb to the entrance to the cave and it is very nice inside but very slippery. Make sure you rent the torch before you climb as you will need it inside the cave. Cooling off in the lagoon was quite refreshing.
