“A little out of the way, but nice quiet guest house”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and were very happy with our choice. The rooms were big, beds comfy and wifi decent (for laos). The breakfast (you can pay more for breakfast included) was awesome as you have 5 different choices. This place is about a 10 minute walk to the main pub area of Vang Vieng but it does have the advantage of being very quiet at night. We recommend this place to other couples.

Room Tip: The rooms attached to the main building are the same price but are larger then the bungalow style ro...

We visited Vang Vieng in July 2013. I had looked up the place on Trip adviser. Called up Jammee and asked them to pick us up from the town center. We took the small huts outside the main building. Clean, quiet, peaceful place far from the center. 10 mins walk to Jhang Caves and 15 to the center. Breakfast was ok, but when we visited our host seemed a little busy with other things and some of the things that should've been better weren't. For example of the three mornings we only got breakfast once. The milk in the fridge was bad from the 1st day we got there and was never replaced, so the free tea was never available for us (we drink milk tea). But these things can be overlooked because of the gr8 budget, tidy rooms and cozy atmosphere.

Nestled in the quiet part of Vang Vieng, we booked for two nights and stayed five. The hosts and the Aussie lodger were fantastic, location peaceful and serene. Aircon cold, shower hot and bed comfortable. Breakfast included, I recommend the omelette. A bike ride/walk to the main tourist area (if that is your thing) will lead you past traditional Laos families and children greeting you with a smile and a sabaidee. Also, it's a short stroll to the two best eateries in Vang Vieng - A.M.D. and the Paris Cafe. If you are in Vang Vieng and want to see what Vang Vieng is really about (ie. not drunken obnoxious backpackers), this is the place.

This was a perfect guesthouse for my girlfriend and I. It was very quiet and situated a little outside of the main tourist area in Vang Vieng(10-15min walk), however you are close to some caves and a swimming area. The rooms were very reasonable, clean, and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the overall setting was terrific (mountains dot the landscape behind the guesthouse). We stayed for 11 days and enjoyed the relaxing peaceful atmosphere. The breakfasts were basic but delicious, and the staff were helpful. The owner is very friendly and willing to help you find your way in Vang Vieng.

Fantastic guesthouse, far enough away from the party-center so you can experience the peace and beauty of the Laos countryside. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the main strip along the water, where all the tubing places are. The room was quite cheap, because we opted out of breakfast (we like sleeping in) and the owners were very kind, and even gave us a last-minute discount when we checked out because we stayed 9 nights. Our room didn't have A/C, but we went during the rainy season so it cooled down enough at night not to need it. We didn't even need to open the windows because the air circulation was quite good, so we didn't need to bother with the mosquito net. The room was big and clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had a great stay.

Room Tip: Although the wifi is weaker on the top floor, I recommend that you get a room with a balcony facing...

We arrived and were greeted by the friendly owner.

The guesthouse itself is clean with spacious rooms. No bells and whistles but for VV I'd say its pretty nice.

The location is a little out of the main strip but a 10 minute walk at most. Nice and quiet and good views though.

Breakfast is great, western style. A choice of eggs, pancake, muesli, fruit salad. For the money paid for the room we thought this was pretty good!

The owner is great, very friendly. Tells you all about the area and what to see (with some mild sales tactics in there).

Also you get free tea and coffee all day/night long which is a nice change!

A nice place to stay, basic but great for the cheap price.
