Som is a really helpful manager, helps and organises everything, for sure the best cheap place to stay in Vang Vieng. So we stayed 5 nights and had nothing to organise, just to ask Som. And enjoyed probably the best pan cakes of Laos!

Stayed here for 3 nights and would highly recommend this guesthouse.

The bedroom was large as was the bathroom. The manager was very helpful in arranging our excursions and bus tickets and the breakfast everyday was delicious.

A 10 minute walk from the centre of town and surrounded by stunning scenery.

For 100,000KIP ($12.50 USD) a night you get a CLEAN large bedroom with private bathroom, hot water, AC, comfy bed and pillow, delicious breakfast choices (possibly the best banana pancake in the world), great scenery, decent wifi (for Laos), and peace&quiet. It's about a 10 minute walk from the "center" of things, but there are plenty of restaurants/stores closer than that. Vang Vieng is no longer a backpackers' orgy - it is for people who want to just totally chill out and spend time venturing to the many waterfalls and caves and tubing down the river to actually enjoy the scenery, not binge drink. Som, the owner, is really friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff could work on being a little more friendly but that's my only (minor) complaint.

The Laos owner Mr Som picked us from the mini bus drop off in his new car...our room upstairs had TV, air-con for the afternoon sun and heat, a balcony with chairs, double bed with fresh white linen, a ceiling fan and full mosquito net, a hot water shower with fresh white towels, nice furnishings, and medium strength wi-fi...the complimentary breakfast for the two of us, served by Som himself beside the cold tub/dip pool and cafe area downstairs, were enormous and generous! Free tea and coffee all day...For 100,000 Kip or US$12.50 a night only! Other even cheaper rooms are available...A delightful Australian manager Mr Lyle also helps keep all the clientèle informed and happy. We like this guest house and it is definitely worth a good week to enjoy all there is to do in Vang Vieng; along with ALL the great restaurants and bars up the road in town!

Room Tip: Number 7 was a great quiet room for us...

This guesthouse at the quiet end of Vang Vieng is a real gem. Som, the owner, is a very attentive host. The rooms are all very big and have lots of natural light. We had a massive double bed and a beautiful balcony. It was value: 80,000 kip including breakfast, which is big and tasty. Som makes delicious pancakes!
It does get a bit hot in the afternoon, so would reccomend getting A/C which is 20,000 kip more. Their little jacuzzi is also a good relief from the heat/ And just down the road and across the bridge there is a great swimming hole (2,000 kip admission fee).

I really can not recommend this place enough! If you are looking for a nice quiet stay in Vang Vieng this is the definitely the right place for you!
