Didn't get here till late in the day, however, tents were fantastic! Hot water bottles provided! Unfortunately, lots of noise from the animals, but hey, that's what we're here for!!! Great wildlife and the Chimp Sanctuary was fantastic!

I expected better. Welcome juice was tree tomato juice so I thought this is good what i expected. Most of lodges gives us normal fruite juice, orange or passion kind of.... However meals were not as we expeted. During Easter holiday, the camp was fully booked. They give us choice of Beef, Lamb and Pork. I guess most of guests ordered pork. They did not prepared enough for the guests so the waiter came to ask "Beef or Lamb ?" after waiting for dinner more than 40 minutes. That was unbelivable being Serena management. The other problem was shower room & toilet. They have only a cloth (very thin) hanging and not really covering the places so if the wind blows one can see everything. It is not comfortable if two friends share the tent. One has to stay out of the tent if one uses the toilet...? Nanyuki is very cold so they have very heavy blanket to cover. Reminding of old time. They can improve to change to light duvet.

Room Tip: Request tents where not so far from the reception. They have old and new tents mixed up. Ask new ten...

After three previous photo safaris in South Africa and Botswana, I was looking forward to Sweetwaters, having heard some good things about it. I found it out of the way, the tents only average, the choice of food at meals awful, and the game drives less than exciting. Would not go back.

Room Tip: I had heard a lot about Sweetwaters, and after having been on three photo safaris to South Africa an...

We were concerned to see this review for the Sweetwaters tented camp. As will be seen from our Trip Advisor performance to date this camp has a record of excellent reviews, something we are especially proud of. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy - within which Sweetwaters is located - has never received a review that is anything less than EXCELLENT (please see the home page of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy website). In order to continue improving the services we offer to our clients the Sweetwaters camp is currently undergoing a USD 2.2 million refurbishment. We hope this will assist to address some of the issues highlighted by this review. In the meantime we continue to expand and develop the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with the aim of maintaining its position as one of Kenya's premier wildlife destinations. Sincerely Richard Vigne

Only gripe is the price of a bottle of water at 350KSH the most expensive I came across after two months in the country. Everything including wi-fi is charged as an extra 300KSH per hour so unforeseen costs do mount up quickly. On the plus side the facilities are fantastic and the hot water bottles placed in the room at night are a nice touch

Fabulous location overlooking a watering hole - we saw giraffes and zebras right ouside out camp (the other side of the discreet safety ditch). Beds and bathroom were comfy and the food was good.

Excellent safari there - so many animals. Would definitely recommend.

Only thing we regret is not going on a night safari there.

This was my second visit to Sweetwaters and the tents had been refurbished and were very good, the hot water bottle in the bed was fantastic. The service at reception was excellent and very helpful. The food in the restaurant was not quite up to the usual Serena standard but was acceptable. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy was abundant with wildlife and hopefully next time we will have the time to see the chimpanzee sanctuary. The whole concept of how the conservancy is integrated with livestock farming and benefiting the local community is excellent and very unique in Kenya.
