Great location - closest to the Park entrance without being at the Lodge. Easy to grab the free shuttle anywhere. We walked to and from dinner. Room was beautiful - had King Suite - 612 - corner with great views of mountains from the huge balcony and side wall window. 2 bathrooms and a great open kitchen, so could have easily thrown a party there. Made me wish I planned on staying for a week. Situated right in front of the Virgin River - listening to it run by was so nice.
Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because each day after hiking, the pool was overrun with kids - who also filled up the hot tub.

My husband and I stumbled on the Desert Pearl during our 2 week trip to Zion and Bryce National Parks. Although we were staying in a cabin in Duck Creek Village (42 miles from the parks) we decided to spend a night VERY close to Zion in order to complete the popular Narrows Hike (you can get all your water gear at the Zion Adverture shop just down the street) and Observation Point Hike without having to put in 4 extra hours of driving back to our cabin to do it. From the moment we walked into the reception area where we were warmly greeted to the first peak inside the room, we were simply delighted. I had no idea when we chose the only room available which was on the river side, that we would be literally 100 feet from the river with a lovely patio and grassy area with picnic tables to feast our weary eyes on...inside the room was even more of a surprise...cooling, modern furnishings with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes, toaster oven, dish washer, table and chairs, sofa, beautifully large bathroom with a bidet! This hotel must be catering to European travelers who are often much more demanding than stateside travelers because this is a 100% topnotch, nothing to complain about establishment. If I ever get the opportunity to travel to Zion again, I will stay at the DP...literally minutes outside the park with wonderful array of restaurants and artsy shopping all along the main drag. Go. Stay in Zion, but make sure you pick the Desert Pearl as your home base. We could have stayed there 5-7 days comfortably in such a roomy and perfectly appointed location. I think we were lucky to get a room here in October which seemed to be a very very busy time in Zion.

Room Tip: Although I could hear the people walking on the deck above us, I would still choose a bottom floor r...

This was our first stop on a four week trip to the southwest and we found ourselves comparing all of the other places we stayed with the DPI. What a find! The information handouts that are given out at registration answer just about all the questions that you may have about the area. Maps, restaurants, shuttle schedules, etc. Very well organized. The rooms are spacious and have everything you'll need to enjoy your stay--wine glasses, dishes, dishwasher, coffeemaker. We loved coming back from a long day of hiking to enjoy a glass of wine on the patio overlooking the pool and mountains. The laundry room is a bonus!
Loved it!

Room Tip: We had a view of the pool and mountains. Would try and get a river room view next time.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was wonderful. Beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. We had two queen beds, plus a sitting area. The room was well appointed with comfortable beds, a kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker (with Starbucks coffee and creamer) and dishes. It was wonderful for making breakfast in our room. The grounds are also very nice. The staff was very friendly and well informed about Zion park and the Springdale area. We stayed two nights and would defiantly stay here again and wish we could have stayed longer. Very convenient to the park. You can take the short drive to the visitor's center to catch the park shuttle or you can take the Springdate Shuttle, which stops right outside the hotel, to the visitors center and not have to deal with finding a parking spot.

Room Tip: They have rooms that overlook the pool area and also rooms with a view of the river. I would ask fo...

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the Desert Pearl Inn. It was the end of a 3 week honeymoon across the national parks of California and Utah.
We were very warmly welcomed by the front staff, explaining us the shuttle system of Zion NP and giving us a list of all the nearby restaurants.
We were given a very nice room at the second floor overlooking the pool. The room was just amazing! Clean and very big, but still very cosy. It felt actually like a room on some sort of tropical island! There was also a hand-written card and some flowers to congratulate us with our marriage. A very nice attention!
We spend some time at the pool and the jacuzzi and it was great. However, I felt like the jacuzzi was a little bit too hot, after a while I just had to go out because I was booiling. But we had the same experience in another hotel during our trip, so maybe it's an American thing? After all, it's called a 'HOT tub' :-)
We will definitely stay here again if we come back to visit Zion (great park btw!).

Room Tip: Any room is good I guess, but due to the wooden floors a room at the second level might be a little...

We spent 3 nights here while exploring the park. The location is fantastic, as it is near to the park and many restaurants. A car is really not necessary. The rooms facing the river are very pleasant. Rooms are roomy, with nice firm beds. Pool and hot tub adequate and welcoming after a day on the trails. Not cheap, but meets expectations.

Room Tip: River rooms are great.

Family trip to see "the canyons." We stayed here after reading wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor and were pleased! Lovely clean spacious and convenient. This was out "splurge" for the entire week - the costs were a bit higher - but we were not disappointed. Bus to Zion was just out the door, and good eating at Oscar's (and the laundromat) was a short walk away. Would do again :).

Room Tip: We did not specify a room in October, 2012 and had two with our patio facing the BEAUTIFUL expansive...
