We stayed in the Cliffrose Lodge and Gardens and wanted to highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zion National Park. The Lodge is located a short walk to the park and even a shorter walk to a terrific breakfast, lunch and snack restaurant that opens at 6 a.m. for early morning hikers. The Cliffrose is not fancy, but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There is a nice garden to walk through that leads to the pool and hot tub area (both welcome amenities after a long day of hiking!). We found the front desk personnel very helpful and friendly. They recommended a very nice restaurant called the Spotted Dog, which was also a short walk front the Lodge. Thumbs up from the two couples providing this review.

Room Tip: Our room was on the second of two floors and faced the back of the lodge, which gave a great view of...

We stayed at Cliffrose Lodge for 3 days in September. We really liked the place.

Our room was standard type hotel fare, but was comfortable, well maintained, and clean. We liked the separate seating area (with its own TV), and the little touches like vases of flowers around the room. It made the place feel more homely. Also, since we had a ground floor room in the block nearest to the river, we had a patio which opened directly on to the very well maintained and laid out gardens, with the river visible just beyond. We also had a hummingbird feeder on the patio, which was heavily used, to our absolute delight!

There are no dining facilities on site, but you can get a good (slightly pricey) breakfast in the Café next door. At night, Springdale has a good choice of eating places, with one or two very decent ones with walking distance of Cliffrose.

When you add in the friendly and helpful staff, the two amiable cats which wandered around the property, and the generally relaxed feel of the place (which also applied to the town of Springdale itself), we can honestly say that Cliffrose felt more like a home than any other place we stayed during our trip. Add the magnificent views of the mountains from the back gardens, and it was a real pleasure to stay there.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you like to watch the hummingbirds, get a ground floor room (they have the feeders on the patio)

We had reservations at 3 places before we settled on Cliffrose. We are so happy we did! First class in every
way. We are in a canyon view room that has it's own private patio with cushy furniture. Beautiful view,
beautiful gardens and a short walk to the Zion shuttle. This is where you should stay, seriously. Also, don't miss Cafe Soleil next door....great coffee drinks and great food for breakfast and all day long. We made the right decision by staying here! 5 minutes up the road in Zion, get up early one morning and watch the
sunrise behind the history museum just inside the park....the view from there is like nothing you will ever see!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cliffrose. It is within walking distance of the entrance to the Zion National Park and several good restaurants. The rooms are a nice size, nicely decorated and clean. The grounds of the hotel contain beautiful gardens and a very nice pool. The river runs right along the property and many rooms have a nice river view.

Stayed in one of the suites which was excellent. Super clean and well appointed. Pool, hot tub and gardens very pleasant and well kept. The pool was especially welcome after long hikes in Zion. Best feature was convenient location to Zion NP (about 200 yards from gate - easy walk) and the free Springdale shuttle stop (directly out front). Would definitely recommend but price on higher end.

Room Tip: Select rooms in back along the river.

We stayed in a riverside 1 bedroom suite. While the rooms and grounds were excellent, we were disappointed by a number of issues. We required the foldout sofa but found the underlay to have popcorn on it, the ironing board legs were broken and during our stay housekeeping did not replace decaf coffee bags (only caffeinated). These are only minor things (and were fixed on request), but this was by far the most expensive accommodation we stayed at on a three week road trip.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I'm terribly sorry to hear the issues that occurred while staying with us. It is absolutely our policy to clean the sofa beds each day, and I will make sure this is brought to the attention of our housekeeping manager. It is our policy to only replace decaf coffee by request as it not commonly used. I'm pleased to hear that the issues the you had were addressed. We stock extras of everything in our room should anything break we have a replacement readily available.

This was the perfect location. The walk to Zion from here was absolutely gorgeous. There's a river in the back with breathtaking views along the way.
The room was clean and pretty with a balcony where you could get a lovely view of the mountains.
