We enjoyed 'Under the Eaves' for the homey comfort of the house and our evenings spent sitting on the front porch chatting with other hikers and viewing the passing scene. The multi-course breakfast was first class and suitable for those of us heading out for a day on the trails. Deb and Steve were knowledgeable about the park and helpful in directing us to the best hikes.

Over the last 10 years whenever I visit the area I stay at this B&B. The rooms are perfect, especially the ones in the cabin, and I always
take time to sit out on the front porch. It truely is the best view in Springdale!

Steve and Deb are excellent hosts and will do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. I will most certainly be back to Springdale
and Zion again and will be staying at Steve and Deb's. There is no reason to stay anywhere else!

My husband and I made a trip to Utah in September touring around the national parks. We stayed at this fabulous b & b in September. Steve and Deb are absolutely wonderful hosts and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We actually got married during our stay - Steve performed the ceremony. We had the most amazing day thanks to them. They chose the perfect location and made the whole experience a day to remember. Thank you both for such a beautiful day and for all your time! Although we were on our own, we felt like we were with friends. It was absolutely fantastic. Back to the B & B....beautiful. The most perfect location and a lovely house to relax in. We had the suite on the top floor which was just perfect. Steve and Deb put in so much effort to make sure their guests have an enjoyable stay....the breakfasts are to die for! I miss your home-made muffins Deb! All in all - exceptional b & b. Thank you guys!

My husband and I recently made a tour of Utah's national parks by motorcycle. Zion was definately the highlight, made even more special by staying with Steve, Deb and the lovely Smoo. We frequent B&B's when we travel for the romantic element and also the opportunity to meet and share fascinating conversations with others. I would find it hard to believe there were more interesting or intellectually stimulating conversations taking place anywhere else in town those two days!
When we arrived Steve gave up his personal parking space for us to safely park our bikes and that is where they stayed. We were shuttled back and forth to Zion by free public bus easily accessed from the B&B. We rented the suite upstairs which was huge, consisting of the entire upper floor of the beautiful 1930's victorian home. It's hot in Zion! Steve had the room air conditioned and airing nicely when we arrived. In spite of the heat this was the "coolest" room we've ever had. Large windows with fantastic views including a floor to ceiling cathedral church style window overlooking the gardens in the back yard. The vaulted ceiling, antique fans and furniture perfectly accented the victorian feel of the room. Additionally, Deb is a wonderful artist and her original oil landscapes graced the walls throughout the home. Did I mention we were hopeless romantics? What could be cozier than a giant claw foot tub? My favorite part of the suite was our personal bathroom with its alluring romantic charm.
If you are into relaxing outside of your room there are mulitple get aways on the property. Deb's creativity extends to the delightful gardens all around. There are swings, rockers and a hammock. We chilled in all of them. In the parlor there is a complete library with something for everyone (even motorcyclists).
As for Steve and Deb, they are English which added a unique cultural experience. They are Great cooks who know lots about the area and aren't afraid to tell you what's up. Steve recommended everything from what restaurants to try to hiking activities inside the park. They are real people and we felt close and comfortable to them immediately.
Our room was the most expensive at $165/night but worth every penny. My husband didn't want to leave and if the room hadn't been reserved already for the next night we would have stayed longer. In fact if this tells you anything, my departing statement was that I would simply like to move in!
Many thanks to Steve and Deb! We highly recommend Under the Eves. Be good to yourselves and check it out!

Cute & homely B&B. Very laid back atmosphere where you were invited to sit on the porch and drink tea with the owner. Great breakfast! Only 5-10 minutes drive from the entrance to Zion National Park. Owners full of information and suggestions on what to do there. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a wonderfully fun B&B! Steve and Deb, the hosts, are warm, funny, rowdy and excellent cooks. They create a great atmosphere where everyone talks to everyone. The house is cute, the front room and the porch are wonderful gathering place for guests. The rooms are comfortable. Steve knows the town and surroundings and gives great advice for visitors. We've been there three times in the last two years, and it's been great fun every time.
Great location - close to the Zion park shuttles.

And if you're a mountain biker, its close to a bike rental shop and there is some good slickrock not too far out of town with a good set of routes for beginner to intermediate (I didn't dare look at the difficult stuff, so I can't rate the harder tracks).

I would go back anytime.

Pictures don't do it justice - we just loved staying at Under The Eaves - the English hosts (Steve and Deb) are a riot and can cook really well too - no bad for us Brits !!! The house is an original old home in Springdale and so does not have the large airy rooms of custom built hotels or B&B's (apart from The Eaves Suite which we couldn't afford on our budget) - but that is why we liked this place so much - home away from home . We were in one of the House Rooms with a nice old original iron frame bed - but new mattress I was asured ! A great nights sleep anyway !
Hiking and travel advise are very forthcoming if you ask - we were trying to cover way to much ground with our plans and really appreciated some (candid) and honest advise- doing too much driviing to see too many places in too little a time ! A reason to come back !
