“Amazing Food”

A very fun little place right on the main road leading to the Park. The building, an old gas station, could not be cuter. Several tables under an awning in front have great views of surrounding rock formations. The fresh made guacamole was wonderful, and the green chili burger had so much flavor going on. The carne asada fire tacos were outstanding. The meat was super tender, and the flavor was so fantastic, I plan to come back when in town. Service was fast and friendly.

“Awesome Dinner!!!! If trying to choose a place, choose this!”
Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I did a very long day hike in Zion. We decided to skip cooking at our camp site and go out for food. We could not decide where to go and tried to read online reviews. Decided to try this place out and so happy we did!! We had nachos to start which were excellent. Then we ordered the chipotle chicken fajitas and carne asada tacos, both were delicious!! Great service and food! The couple next to us said they had come back 4 nights in row because it was so good they didn't even want to try anything else haha. Must try!!!

“Great little spot!”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

Whiptail was our first stop when we got to town - recommended by clerk at our hotel (Dessert Pearl). Hubby and I both got taco salads - he got his with chicken and I got shrimp in mine. Great choice. Hubby loved it so much - along with the Polygamy Porter - he got a t-shirt.

“Fabulous!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

We hit the Whiptail late on Labor Day Sunday - probably about 9PM. We immediately were seated at the only available table, and the hostess apologetically let us know that they were overwhelmed and running about 45 minutes out. We were exhausted and didn't mind, especially since she immediately brought the chips and salsa/guac that we ordered to start. The guacamole was very fresh and yummy, and hubby says the salsa was the same.

We ordered chicken enchiladas to share, and the dish actually came in about 15 minutes (apparently due to the fact that we only ordered one dish). I felt badly for the family next to us still waiting for their food, but we dove right in.

The enchilada was absolutely delicious. If this is what they put out in a frenzy, I can only imagine how yummy it is on a slow day.

Definitely recommend the Whiptail!
