“Extraordinary!”

My girlfriend and I ended up dining at the Spotted Dog Cafe three nights in a row while visiting Zion NP. The food was great but what really made us come back was the welcoming, service minded and knowledgeable staff. Watching the sun disappear in the company of hummingbirds only added to the already great dining experience. A special thanks should go to the waiter Cade. If I was ever to open up a restaurant he'd be the first person I'd bring on board! Finally, I'd recommend trying their meatloaf :) Regarding drinks the Moscow Mule is delicious and comes in a copper mug.

“Fine dining in Zion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

Decided to have one really nice meal while we were in Zion, so we visited Spotted Dog for dinner. Our server was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary bread with dipping sauce. I had the beet salad, which was served in a deconstructed style that I enjoyed. Also had the pasta purses with pear and gorgonzola and brown butter with sage. Yum yum! Husband really picked the best though - filet mignon. It was amazingly good, and I don't usually like rare steak. It was served on what was essentially a huge tater tot and there was a great sauce on top. We really felt like it was meal worthy of any upscale restaurant in a large city. Very very happy we stopped her.

“Pricey but good”

Enjoyed our meal here. A step up from the usual steaks, burgers and ribs. Expect to pay a bit more but worth it for a treat. The Flat Iron steak and South Western chicken were particularly good.

“Yum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

Good food... Trout salad, mushroom appetizer, a pear pasta pocket thing that was like dessert... So good! Both my sweetie and I had stuff we were really excited by. We both can't wait to go back tomorro night. Also, the wine list is terrific. Since the demise of Parallel 88!? Springdale needs another really tasty restaurant. If you are a couple on vacation, you have spent the day in the unbelievable beauty hiking Zion, you really enjoy a tasty, local food oriented dining experience! Hooray for the consistency and always tasty Spotted Dog!!!

“Unexpected pleasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2014

Our family of three adults and four kids ate dinner once at the Spotted Dog, and it was a great experience. Though a bit pricey, the food was excellent. Good options available for the children, and fine dining for the adults. Service was impeccable.
Only drawback is that Springdale gets very busy at night, and parking was scarce. We had to park several blocks away, in an illegal spot - luckily no tickets.
