“Very tasty Southwest Mexican”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Had our best dinner in Springdale at the Bit & Spur. Picky teenagers enjoyed it as much as the adults, the atmosphere is relaxing but funky - the art exhibits definitely add an interesting flavor.

“Great mexican with a twist”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Had great appetizers - stuffed jalapenos (finally a good stuffed jalapeno without breading) and taquitos with a fresh chile ketchup. Entrees of a beef burrito and pollo asada were fantastic. Very filling. This is a great option for mexican food in the area.

“Made-from-scratch Mexican”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

It's obvious when you eat here that you are not at a chain "Mexican" restaurant. Freshly-made salsa, delicious margaritas, real food with some nice options on standard Mexican fare. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, a must stop.

“Best meal we had in Springdale”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

Creative southwest and Mexican cuisine . Good prices , great drinks. Try the homemade sangria and beef skewers and slaw appetizer. Wish we returned rather than trying out other places.

“Excellent choice in Springdale”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

Bit and Spur was the restaurant we chose for our last dinner in Springdale. We were happy to finally have a tasty meal cooked to order.

We started with the brie, walnut, and apple quesadillas with jalapeno jelly. The filling along with jalapeno jelly and a slightly cripsy tortilla was good. I ordered a standard chicken burrito that came with beans, rice, and a delightful coleslaw that was filling, tasty, and a good value. My boyfriend splurged and ordered the Ribeye cooked rare, and cleaned his plate (sparing some fatty bits)! Finally, a steak cooked to order in Springdale (two others were over cooked by far).

For dessert we ordered the chocolate lava cake with coconut ice cream. They brought out vanilla ice cream instead, but our waiter corrected the issue quickly, and we ended up with two large tasty scoops of ice cream!

The service was OK. They were very busy. We had to wait for water and refills for the pitcher they provide for the table. I actually requested a beef burrito, but was given chicken (still tasty and not worth the wait to correct the problem). Also we had the problem with the wrong ice cream as above.

Atmosphere was great with plenty of outdoor seating to view the canyon.
