We ate breakfast and dinner at the Switchback. Both times the food was very well prepared: my salmon was tender and not overcooked and my husband's steak juicy and nicely seasoned. The vegetables were not overdone. These entrees were the options for their early bird specials, reasonably priced at around $20. (You chose either an appetizer and entree, or entree and dessert.)
For breakfast I had the buttermilk pancakes, enough to feed two. My husband had the typical eggs, bacon, etc. and, again, enough for two. We have average appetites. If we had to critize something, it was that the porions were enough for linebacks.
The service was attentive, quick and eager to accomodate.
The dining room is all glass on one side, soaring to the steeply-peaked stained wood ceiling. The view is of the majestic cliffs of Zion Canyon--arresting in the morning sun or evening shadows. All in all, very good food in an extremely pleasant ambiance--an exceptional place to eat!
