“Lovely Small B&B”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2007

We stayed at Canyon Vista for 2 nights during a 2 week fly drive where we travelled 2300 miles, the accomodation is perfectly located only just outside the national park, the room was beautifully turned out and the breakfast each morning was varied and scrummy.

The B&B only has 4 rooms so you do get a very personal service and to chat to the guests in the 3 other rooms over breakfast and compare walks and tips was really useful.

My wife and I recently went on an Arizona/Utah National Park trip and were lucky enough to make our way to Zion National Park. When there we stayed at Canyon Vista B&B. Trista, Matt, the dogs and cats were great hosts. The B&B is located a couple miles from the entrance. They have a beautiful view of the landscape from the back porch, the breakfasts we had were wonderful and they keep feeding you until you throw in the flag. Additionally, we were able to get great recommendations on places to hike and restaurants to eat at night. The only bad thing I have to say is that we had to leave. We hope to be back there sometime soon and we would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We spent 11 nights here in May 2007. Everything about our stay was perfect. The location is quiet, and convenient to the park shuttle system. Our room was clean and nicely appointed. Trista and Matt are two of the most genuinely kind people we have ever met. They had lots of tips about hiking and things to see and do in the area. And the breakfasts were fantastic!

We would definitely stay here again on a return visit to Zion.

I thought I had written a review of our stay over Thanksgiving 2006!! We stayed in the Pa'rus and Mukuntuweap rooms and both are very new construction and furnishings. Trista and Matt think of everything - the rooms have mini kitchens which are great for prepping food for outdoorsy adventures or bringing leftovers from the yummy restaurants. The beds, bathrooms, eveything is of great quality and super clean. You can borrow one of the tons of movies on DVD or VHS to watch in your room, borrow books (about the area or otherwise) or take a dip in the jacuzzi outside. It's super quiet and all rooms have their own entrances! The breakfasts were amazing and Trista takes care in addressing any eating restrictions you have... They have some pets that are super friendly if you want to get your "away from pet at home" fix, too! The property is kind of lower off the main road, so it's quiet, and it's pretty close to the entrance. We'd love to stay there again... No need to post any pics - their website photos don't lie!

We stayed here for three nights and both the service and the room were excellent! We had complete privacy and our own entrance, with a nice patio off of our room. We had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a bar sink with dishes and utensils - these came in very handy for such a long stay! The room was decorated very nicely and was a comfortable size - and we had a very, very good bed - no back ache in the morning here!

We liked to walk to the river on the back of the property early in the morning before breakfast and we also used the hot tub - it's very private, also. One night we got in early and so my husband went upstairs to ask our hosts if we could borrow a DVD - and he came back to the room with three very good choices (there is no TV reception, but we like that!)

Breakfast was awesome each morning...even satisfying my husband who eats big breakfasts! And the hosts are a wealth of good information about the area - what's worth doing and what's not, where to eat dinner, etc.

We're looking forward to staying at Canyon Vista again the next time we visit Zion.

We stayed in Canyon Vista B&B for 2 nights while visiting Zion and Bryce. It is a great place to stay: the room (and the bathroom) was newly updated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room. Rooms have private entrances.
Owners (Matt and Trista) are very helpful and easy to deal with, they gave us good advise on the area. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious.
There is only 4 rooms and all the guests gather at the breakfast table so you have a chance to meet new people.
The location is very good -quiet and convenient to the park.
I highly recommend it.

This is a superb place to stay when visiting Zion. The room we stayed in (called Mukuntuweap) is very cosy and comfortable, very clean, and well equipped with fridge, microwave, and private bath. No stove or hair dryer is provided.
View from the room is spectacular, especially at sunset. The yard just outside the room has a lounger/hammock to relax in and enjoy the view.
Location is great because it's just a couple of minutes walk from the Zion shuttle stop. And it's a mile or two into the town for any number of dinner options. It's on the main road (hwy 9) into town, but well hidden and secluded.
Trista is a great cook -- ask for her apple pie pancake for breakfast -- and very friendly, responsive, and helpful. She even switched off the yard lights when we were out in the yard stargazing, so we could appreciate the incredible night sky even more! Don't forget to look up at night when you're in Zion.
All in all, Zion is a great place for a vacation and Canyon Vista is a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
