We had breakfast both days at the lodge and was reasonable and good. Front desk was helpful and let me use the computer both days. We had a room across the road with a balcony facing mountains to watch sunset. Bus pickup was outside our door!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here while visiting Zion NP. The location of the hotel is great with the Zion Bus stop at the end of the driveway. The room was well appointed with a comfy bed and furniture that gave a rustic feel. The balcony gave a place for reflection with great views of the surrounding landscape. The view from the dining room was just as good. The service was efficient and pleasant and the gift shop was well stocked with lots of choice. While the food was a little pricey for dinner, the breakfast menu was good and a great way to start the day for all the activities. The position on a ridge on the main road is a perfect spot and this hotel was a good choice. The pool is a good extra after a hard day hiking and to keep the kids happy.

We stayed 4 nights. Enjoyed all aspects. The room was very clean. Even on days where we put the room tag out requesting no service, the house cleaning staff still left us a bag with fresh towels, soaps etc.
The wild life exhibit in the gift shop area was very nicely done and enjoyable.
We ate at the restaurant one night and had an excellent dinner. The carrot cake was the best we've ever had. We're thinking about e-mailing the lodge for the recipe. Dinner was great.
All staff were very friendly.
Would highly recommend this lodge. Only draw back might be for some older folks or those with physical disabilities: there is no elevator.

We stayed here for two nights while on a Trafalgar bus tour. The view from our room was beautiful. The room was clean, decorated rustically to fit in with the area.It had a small balcony which you can sit on to enjoy the view. The pool was nice and it was a treat to relax after a day of hiking in Zion. There was a man and woman singing by the pool which was a nice touch. The restaurant too had a beautiful view with large windows. The food was good. The bar only served wine and beer. They have a nice gift shop and the hotel gives a discount coupon for food and the gift shop. There is no elevator but a top floor is nice.

We spent 2 nights here, wished we'd stayed longer! The staff were friendly especially in the on-site gift shop, the 10% discount for use in the shop and restaurant was a nice touch. Room was clean, comfortable and had fantastic views of the surrounding area. Pool was clean and equipped with loungers and seating areas; very quiet, so peaceful to lounge around and swim at leisure. Laundry facility was useful as was the free shuttle service to Zion which picked up outside the hotel regularly. We were a little disappointed at the restaurant, not a large choice and attention to detail was lacking, chipped glass, incorrect info given about contents of dish, staff member didn't give the usual customer care that we usually experience although this would not deter us from visiting again.

Thank you for your review. It sounds like you enjoyed your stay at the Lodge. The Restaurant is leased out and has their own listing on Trip Advisor-under the name "Arkansas Al's". I will forward your comments to them. Kimarie Dockstader / Assistant GM

Stayed here one night before a long drive from Springdale to San Francisco. From the first moment turning off the road into the parking lot this looked like it was going to be a good experience and it was.

Friendly staff, good architecture; well appointed rooms, immaculately clean. Excellent food and brew in the on-sire restaurant all contributed to the excellent experience.

Add to that the breathtaking views of southern Utah's red rocks and you have an experience that you won't forget in a hurry. Recommended without any hesitation.

Room Tip: Rooms with mountain views from the balconies are of course even better than the rooms without. (Mos...

The two of us stayed there in Oct. 2012 and had reserved a handicapped accessible room for 2 nights. Upon arrival, the clerk did not have us down for the accessible room. She sent us to a 3rd floor that supposedly had an elevator but I could not get the wheelchair up there with my husband in it! So, we were put in a first floor room and found several bedbugs at 1:00 a.m. crawling in our bed! After packing up, we were put in the next room...with more bedbugs! Finally, they "found" a clean room across the street for us that we inspected top to bottom before unpacking. The manager was out of town but was contacted about the situation, and we were not charged for the rooms, thankfully. A week later, we broke out in bites when we got home. Thank God we didn't bring any bedbugs home with us in our luggage! Make sure to inspect the bed in the dark with flashlights before you unpack!! We'll never stay there again, that's for sure.

Room Tip: Check the beds in the dark with flashlights! We always do this each time we stay in a hotel.

We are very sorry you had an unpleasant experience while staying with us in October, 2012. When we are informed in a timely manner we do all in our power to address the situation. All of our rooms are bed bug free and we are extremely diligent in taking care of this International problem.
