“There are much better in Springdale, UT”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

Due to last minute change of plans we needed a room in the Springdale area for one night. After calling a couple of the local motel/hotel we found the Bumbleberry had the best rate and a convenient location. The lobby reception area of the motel was bright new and attractive. The reception staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, the room was a different story. The motel has more than one building, so I don’t know if the other(s) were the same or not. The building where our room was located had hallways that were dark and dingy. The carpet was well worn and the walls and some room doors were dinged up from being hit repeatedly with luggage and carpet sweepers. Our room was very large. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Unfortunately, the carpet had some strange stains on it that looked like someone had spilled bleach. The room chairs were upholstered with cloth and one was stained so badly that I wouldn’t use it for fear of the bacteria lurking on it. The suspended ceiling tiles in the bathroom had water stains on them, probably due to a plumbing issue from the second floor room above. The bathroom walls had what appeared to be mildew or mold stains on them. Obviously, someone had noticed this because they tried to paint over the mold/mildew, but didn’t use the proper paint and the mold/mildew had leeched through the new paint. If you have read this far you can probably guess that I would not recommend this place. It may have good rates and large rooms, but the larger potential health risks just aren’t worth it.

The Bumbleberry Inn suited me well for a motel. Definitely not a Marriott type room, however, it was very convenient for me and better than I thought it would be. The friendly desk people honored my request for a ground floor room with parking close to the room as it is difficult for me to carry my luggage. To my surprise, not only did I have a ground floor room, but one in the back with a view of the gorgeous mountains. Across from the back parking lot, I saw a couple of miniature horses and pigs. The shuttle pick up was right there, and there is a cafe at the edge of the property, although I didn't try it. A group of nine of us walked across the street and ate lunch and dinner at Oscars and we all loved it. The room was spacious and quiet. Only complaint was a moldy shower head. Good room for the money. Has pool and hot tub, but didn't have a chance to use it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed a couple nights in early April and had a blast. Great location, friendly staff, very helpful. The room was clean and nice sized, with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The price was competitive with other spots in Springdale. We timed the stay to take advantage of free shuttles and never had to use vehicle the whole time there. The shuttle pick up is right in front of Bumbleberry inn. We tried a couple different places to eat in town, but loved Wildcat Willies which is right in front of Bumbleberry. Already making plans to stay here again in summer.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the rear of property are the best for view.

We stayed for just one night! Thank heavens!! Great location, but I was not impressed with the room. There were stains on the comforters and the towels. It smelled moldy in the hallway and the carpet needs to be replaced. There were stains all over the ceiling in the bathroom included an exposed pipe above the shower. The heater was really loud when it kicked on, making it hard to sleep. I would recommend staying somewhere else.

I am sorry to hear your stay was unsatisfactory and regret the items weren’t brought to our attention during you stay so we could have had a chance to make corrections. The exposed pipe you are referring to is a small condensation pipe. In regards to the stained linens, we use a local linen company for all the laundering and would have been happy to replace any items you found unsatisfactory. We pay a premium price to insure all the linens are clean, fresh and are replaced when showing wear. We are continually striving to improve the property and provide upgrades to our customers. Over the past 2 years we have replaced all the carpets in the guest rooms, purchased new bedspreads, bed skirts and drapes as well as upgraded our pool area to include an outdoor hot tub. We have many other exciting upgrades planned for the coming years and hope that you will give us another chance the next time you visit Zion.

Found this place on our iphone and had no idea what to expect. Called and received their last 2 rooms available for that night, the rooms were large and had new carpet; looks like the curtains and bedskirts were new and were a nice pleasant design, had coffee maker, tv, microwave and a quiet fridge. Not fancy, but really nice and clean. The beds are firm.

The staff was nice, they do have an outdoor pool too, but we didn't us it as we got in late, not sure if it was open. Near some nice restaurants, had a great time that night. The price was great too, only $68.00 a night per room, but I'm sure will go up with the summer coming up. Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: No elevators, so if you have trouble getting up stairs, ask for a lower level room.

No need to fear lace doilies and sachets in your room -- this is a solid motel with very pleasant rooms. All rooms have balconies or patios, which is a big plus in such a scenic locale. Very nice folks running the place. We'll go back.

I stayed a weekend in the Bumbleberry Inn and I really liked it. The rooms are nice and the service was great. The atmosphere is incredible and there are lots of activities to do. Also I tried a piece of their Bumbleberry Pie and I've never tasted anything better. Great place.
