We really enjoyed the calzone. I had the Cheese and my husband had the sausage. Very good. We also had burger and chicken sandwich on a different visit, also very good.

“Tasty and consistent”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Funny thing, I don't usually order pizza here! Their sandwiches and salads are really good, and their waffle fries (with that Utah staple, fry sauce!!) are really tasty!! Service is usually very good, and it's a nice place to eat in Springdale. Since we have family living in the area, it's a frequent choice of ours when we're visiting.

“Good food after a long morning in the park”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

If you're looking for pasta and pizza during the day in Springdale this place is an good choice (Zion Pizza and Noodle doesn't open until 4 pm so they weren’t an option for lunch). We came in for a late lunch (about 2 pm) and the restaurant had 4-5 tables of patrons.

The wood-fired pizzas were very good and a good value since they were big enough to share. The kids shared Hawaiian pizzas and they were gone quickly. Two adults shared a pizza with fennel seasoned sausage, pine nuts, seasonal mushrooms, and cilantro. Wow--was that a good combination! The guys in the group tied into 1/2 pound BBQ burgers mounded with shredded cheddar cheese, served with crisp seasoned fries that came with a dipping sauce. Both guys were very pleased with their choice. One of the teens had the spicy sausage pasta and she loved it. It was a huge portion and could have been shared.

The waitress was friendly and was working hard, but she was the only one there so patience was needed sometimes. We were impressed that even though their sign said the gratuity may be added to parties over 6 (and there were 7 of us) she did not add it in. She said she doesn't like to do that to people. Needless to say, she got a larger tip from us because of that.

We can't compare our food to any other restaurant in Springdale, but we were very happy with our meal at the Flying Monkey.
