“Will NEVER stay at this dump again!”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

Have stayed at this place 4 times before over the past couple years and never had any problems . Always asked for site by the river in the reservations and was always told it's 1st come 1st serve for guests that arrive earliest. Made reservations for 2 tent sites over the weekend and left our house at 4 am, ahead of my group to ensure a good site. We arrived to find that we got horrible sites, Wedged between the hotel, somebody's backyard and an RV. We drove thru the grounds and found plenty of tent sites open and available. We asked to be switched to those sites and denied rudely. Front desk didn't care to hear our concerns. Customer service is non-existent. We went ahead into Zion and camped there for half the price. Use monkey butts cleaning pads instead of showering, Sites inside Zion are bigger and nicer, and your neighbor isn't right on top of you.

Room Tip: Get the sites by the river. The river drowns out your neighbors and feels cooler during the summer m...

The campgrounds in the Park were full so I booked a tent campsite. The sites are small and very close together. I could hear people talking in their tent several spaces away.
It rained and turned my space into a mud pit.
Not worth the $30 per night.

I stayed the first night in the hotel and the front desk employees were very nice and considerate. On the second night, I stayed in the RV area since I couldn't justify the $75 difference in rates when I am in a RV. Once I switched to the RV area and became a camper, the front desk employees displayed a completely different attitude. G**e was patronizing with a foreign guest which I witnessed while waiting for help with my wifi password issue (couldn't log on). Then G**e attempted to treat me in the same patronizing manner. I refuse to be treated in that manner and shut her down immediately. Hello owner, how about some training on customer service? Next we were charged an additional $5 for an extra shower. The bathrooms are filthy with no sign they were cleaned during our stay. The water pressure was a trickle and one out of the 3 toilets was clogged during our entire stay. There was garbage litter on our site from previous campers. Other people kept cutting through our site rather than walking on the paved areas. I like the location of this place but would never return. I paid $52 with the extra shower trickle included. Not a good value in my opinion.

We pulled into the rv portion of this resort and were not greeted in fact we felt as though we were bothering the girl with the pink hair at the desk. All she wanted was our payment and for us to leave. She gave us no other information except where our site was. Poor customer service and a bad first impression.

This is the perfect campground to stay at when visiting Zion. It is right on the shuttle stop into the park and town and has all the ammenities you need. The bathrooms were good but hate paying for showers - so silly. In other similar priced campgrounds showers are free. Our spot was also close to the river so that was nice but could have done without the bees. Was easy to reserve online and our spot was waiting for us when we got there even though we arrived really late at night. Would definitely recommend it.

Other than the price, it is an OK place to bivouac We arrived late in the day on a cross country trip that we deliberately had not planned out in detail. Spaces are very close together so you are disturbed and disturb you neighbors easily.

The south campground at the park is much nicer for less money. It is first come first, first served and was our preference had we not arrived late in the day.

The ground is hard for driving tent stakes but that is the geology of the place. It is tent camping after all. Bathrooms were clean.

The staff is friendly.

Room Tip: Stay near the creek. The sound of the river is calming and drowns out any unwanted noise.

Stayed here 3 nights in a rental RV. The pitch was not spacious but adequate, a pull through full hook up. The price was similar to other campgrounds situated close to National Parks. The location was great 2 stops on the free shuttle to the park or a 10 minute walk. We were able to go into the park in the morning return for lunch and chill out when it was hot and then go back to the park in the evening. We used our own facilites so can't comment on the restrooms, but we were there to see Zion and were not disappointed.
