“Top-Notch Place for Families Visiting Zion Canyon”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

Our family of four, including two adult kids, stayed here last week. A great off-season experience and very good value. The Lodge has a great location, right on the river, as close to the National Park as you can get. It even has a small beach, with barbecues that the guests can use (being February, we didn't). We had an extremely comfortable suite, with very comfortable beds; exceptionally clean; a well-equipped kitchenette; and a large bathroom. Although the pool was closed for the season, the outdoor hot tub was good. I would highly recommend the Lodge, without question. If we can get back to this beautiful part of Utah, we would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The Murphy (pull-down) bed suite has a lot of room and is suitable for family of four, maybe even mo...

We had a "judy ann suite" and were not dissapointed. The room was large, clean and perfectly appointed. The jetted tub and fireplace were welcome after a long day on the trails in December. Our check in was fast and easy and we were right at the base of Zion. It was a quick ride to town or to the park.

I loved this place and cannot say enough! First, we booked the room for the beginning of January but had to cancel due to our baby getting really sick, even though it was within the 72 hours of their policy they didn't charge us. We later rebooked for the end of January. When we got there we were so impressed! The lodge is situated just before the entrance to Zions National park. Just outside our room was a beautiful river and amazing, tall majestic mountains. The room was beautiful! Very nice furniture, granite countertops, kitchen. Very nice and comfortable king bed in a separate room. The bathroom had a granite shower and granite counters with a bidet on the toilet. I was amazed, I have never stayed anywhere that had a bidet, my kids thought it was great. It was very quiet and we couldn't hear anyone in the other rooms. I can't say enough, it was really amazing.

We purchased a Living Social deal for a weekend at Cable Mountain Lodge and were not disappointed. The suite was spacious, clean and modern. The location of the lodge is fantastic - walk to Zion National Park. We had the brew pub to ourselves, but the food was good and the service very friendly. Having a small market on the property was convenient as well. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Room Tip: We did not select a canyon view room and our windows looked out on a hill - basically a large dirt p...

Cable Mountain Lodge is a wonderful property that in excellent shape. We were here in mid-January so the place was a ghost town (which is what we hoped for). The staff was phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for more!! Thanks Cable Mountain Lodge!!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the Virgin River Side have a phenomenal sunrise but there is not a bad room to be had. Our...

Intended on staying 3 nights; stayed four. Would have stayed all year if we could have!

NOTE: We were there in mid-January so the property was nearly empty. I cannot comment on how it might be in busier times.

Beautiful property, terrific rooms that have a wonderful rustic feel. Great design, felt very homey. Nice touches throughout. Great views from the huge balcony and even from the bed itself. (I could watch the sun set on the snow-capped mountains that were just outside the window.)

We were in one of the large suites ("Judy Ann", I think they call them.) 600 sq ft or so. Fullly-equipped kitchen (even with a dishwasher, but no oven), nice wood dining table and chairs, large closets, nice sofa with big screen TV (DVD players available), large screen in bedroom, see-through fireplace next to bed and on the other side of the jetted tub, giant shower, granite counters, wood-look floors, ceiling fans in each room... just terrific. We had no neighbors so it was dead quiet. Small running creek 75 yards away... and the great hiking in Zion is 10-12 minute drive from The Cable Mountain Lodge.

Small market ($$$$) is attached. No restaurant but everything is literally minutes away there in Springdale.

A downside: only one washer and dryer is available for the 50-room property.

We paid around $130/night for their best room (off season). It's about double the rest of the year, but super nice.

Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Room Tip: Room 223 is the most-requested King suite. We'd have chosen it but ultimately opted for a "...

All of Springdale is beautiful, its small, clean and friendly town, in an almost Pleasantville way. Cable Mountain Lodge sits near the end, literally right by the entrance to zion national park. You can, walk out of your room and walk into the park in the space of five minutes.

The suite we stayed in was spacious, enough room for my best friend to bunk in the living room on the pull out sofa bed. The kitchen and bathroom was clean, towels/linens fresh and the view from the balcony, breathtaking.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, due to the government shut down before we arrived, my best friend was out of a place to stay , the front desk was easy to work with and gladly gave me an extra key/parking pass so he was able to bunk with me. (it was an extra 10 dollars a night for the extra person, but worth it)

All in all, I had a wonderful time staying here and have no reservations recommending cable mountain lodge to any one.

Room Tip: I was in a few rooms and just bout every one had great ones, my room was above front desk and the vi...
