The food was excellent and the bread pudding was a fantastic dessert. The portion size was very big so bring a good appetite. Oh and karaoke in the bar was impressive.

Merle, your Sis, bar and wait staff, thank you so much for making our trip to Springdale a memorable one. Wildcat Willies is a wonderful find for those who venture to this beautiful location in the south west of the United States. Food is great, good selection of craft beers and again, the staff are fantastic. We wish you well from Canada!

Wildcat Willies Ranch Grille & Saloon
897 Zion Park Blvd, Springdale, UT 84767

During our tour of Zion National Park in May 2014, our tour bus stopped at Wildcat Willies for lunch. This was the first time the tour company decided to patronize Wildcat Willies. The restaurant occupies a long rectangular building with the entrance in the middle. One half houses the restaurant whereas the middle and the other half of the building comprise the gift shop.

Since we were on tour, we chose from a preselected menu of four entrees and drinks. I ordered the Veggie Burger and an iced tea. We had 38 people in our tour and service came pretty quick as they were prepared for our group, a testament to their preparation considering that there were other non-tour patrons also in the restaurant.

Wildcat Willies serves their drinks in a large glass canning jar, similar to a mayonnaise jar. Not only do you get a larger serving than a standard glass, but the canning jar has ample run for ice cubes to settle in, giving you more liquid to drink. I found the ice tea refreshing to quench a thirst produced from hiking in 100 degree Fahrenheit heat. The tea had a slight lemony taste and was sweet enough that I didn’t add any extra sugar.

Our table of four was served their dishes at the same time. The Wildcat Willies’ Veggie Burger came deep fried, a surprise since most of the Veggie Burgers I have eaten are grilled or microwaved. It’s also huge and thick, larger than most chain fast food burgers. It looked more like a deep fried chicken burger. The buns were also large, puffy and brown with a crackling skin almost like soft sourdough.

The burger comes in a large basket with a heaping serving of thick homemade cut fries that taste delightful, not too salty and not too starchy. The fries had the right amount of softness and firmness to them and were quite long, about the length of a ballpoint pen with the thickness of a finger.

I cut my burger in half and took a bite. The crispiness of the batter produced a satisfying crunch and the “meat” tasted awesome, nothing like the soybean and edamame taste some veggie burgers have, and the “meat” had a good dense texture, sweetness, and smoothness. The puffy bun’s taste didn’t overpower the burger as the dough had a nice crispness and delicate texture and flavor. It kind of tasted more like a combination of chicken and pizza dough. Sure the Veggie Burger at Wildcat Willies was a little greasy due to the deep frying, but it tasted oh so good! I finished mine and saw that most of the people in the tour, mostly retirees, finished their meals also.

The well-stocked gift shop at Wildcat Willies had an assortment of souvenirs, clothes, rocks and gems, and trinkets, a nice selection for the large size of the shop. At the back end of Wildcat Willies is a small ice cream shop, complete with a curved glass case freezer counter. A couple ordered some ice cream cones and from the look of their servings, they seemed satisfied with their purchase.

The Men’s restroom was generally spacious, clean and orderly, with one stall, one sink and one urinal.

Wildcat Willies serves great fresh food in large impressive sizes. The quality of food and service matches this skiing resort town close to Zion National Park. Since our meals were already included in the price of our tour, we did not receive a bill. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Wildcat Willies for lunch as you will get full eating at this restaurant. I ate one of the best veggie burgers in any restaurant. Furthermore, the outdoor scenery of the surrounding majestically tall mountains cannot be beat!

Was not busy at lunchtime so we stopped and our family of 5 each got a burger plate and drink and paid about $60. Good food, excellent service in a location that is close to the National Park

Breakfast was great!! Fresh ingredients, large portions and fair pricing. We went back the next day for lunch and found it to be a bit salty, but would certainly go back for breakfast. All of the girls were exceptionally sweet. Great service and were happy to point out local places to visit/things to do. They really helped make our stay in Springdale even better than it already was. Great job girls!
