My girlfriend and I both had the flat iron steak and we both ordered it medium. Mine returned perfect and hers was well done. Not sure how the same order coming back to the same table gets messed up. They corrected it but my meal was cold by the time hers came back. Vegetables were somewhat oily and slightly over cooked, better to ask for just steamed vegetables. Service was good and staff very nice.

We were really looking forward to eating here, because we have had great experiences in the past, but two nights in a row we were sorely disappointed now that Aramark has taken over as the park's food vendor. Steak was way overdone, polenta was gluey and gross - they even managed to mess up a basic hamburger by adding ten tons of salt. Had hoped for a nice romantic Valentine's dinner here, as we had in the past, but opted instead for a simple bowl of chili off the limited menu in the nearby lounge because - although still Aramark, and mediocre at best - at least it was cheaper.

Fine dining at less then cost of the more formal dining room of the Majestic. Convenient for those staying at the lodge. Food was excellent with service to match. Warning, no reservations accepted so go early to avoid muc of a wait.

We stayed at the Yosemite Lodge for 3 nights and had drinks in the Mountain Room Lounge on two of the nights. The first night we ordered appetizers and they were fair at best. I was expecting much more considering the price. We had the smoked fish plate, which was very small, and just was not that good. We also ordered the chili to share and it was OK, but again not what was expected for the price. The menu had very few choices. Should be better. Our drinks were good. They have some nice local craft beers on tap, and the Salty Dog cocktail is pretty good. The Swedish fireplace in the middle of the room gives the place a very nice atmosphere. Overall, a fun place to go if you are in Yosemite, just don't expect too much food-wise and expect to pay high prices. Honestly, it could be so much better.

This is a review of the Sunday brunch we had there last week. It was one of the worst restaurant meals we've had in years. In general, all of the food in the buffet was tasteless, overcooked, dried out... And cold! For example, my Eggs Benedict: undercooked eggs on top of a not-toasted soggy English muffin and cold; the bacon, almost raw and super greasy and cold; the scrambled eggs, so dry they were difficult to swallow...and cold. My wife's "prime rib" was not prime, but was grisely, tough, and cold. You get the idea. With tip, this inedible garbage cost us more than $70 for the two of us. To add insult to injury, when I asked to talk to the manager, she kept me cooling my heals for more than 10 minutes to register my complaints.
